Do you think DS favers particular soaps?

If so what soaps and why?

The soap section of the website? Their bias is more towards lazy 'journalism' and clickbait than any particular soap. It follows that the soaps that get more viewers lead to more advertising revenue, hence you get all the low quality 'top 10' type articles.

Thanks.

If anything I think the soaps section of the main DS site has a disproportionate bias towards Home and Away and Neighbours ...

Biased is probably incorrect, some soaps grab more attention and focus than others due to popularity. EastEnders being the most favoured generally, I do however think that there is a media bias towards EastEnders and Coronation Street

Clearly the BBC provide DS much more content than ITV. In return DS gives the BBC show more prominence... That's why EastEnders is first in the spoilers section when it should be alphabetical.

One wonders does the BBC pay a fee to DS to feature their content. DS is a commercial venture after all so there is nothing wrong with that if it's the case.

The quality of content on DS is going down fast with awful "10 reasons..." articles and fluff that is repeated over and over... It must be dreadfully disheartening for anyone to write this sort of crap. Nothing more than click-bait of course and if it works it works.

Will be interesting to see if this thread is suppressed. They have closed down discussion of their relationship with Elstree before.

So yes, I think that EastEnders gets more "official attention" on DS, but I would say that is at a price to the BBC.
