Danny overmarked again
Shocking bias towards Danny
![]() I guess he must be struggling for votes so they have to keep putting him top of the leaderboard despite doing heel leads. |

So what's new sadly? I love the tango usually but that was really disappointing for me.

Ore was the one who was overmarked I thought.

He has to top the leaderboard or fans would have a fit.

Yes, that was definitely not a 10 dance.

I don't think he is always overmarked. Generally I prefer him to the other dancers that are left. However I really didn't like tonight's tango. Some of the issues were related to the music but some were his. Tango is not a bash and dash. It is stealthy and passionate, with some stillness between steps.

I think the routine was hampered by the generic disco song they had to dance to but it wasn't worth 10s for me.
I don't see any conspiracy to overmark Danny particularly though. |

Aside from the lion king the songs didn't match the dances at all in my view

Is Danny usually overmarked? It doesn't seem fair to say that.
He was decidedly overmarked this week though. |

The speed of the dance was the fault of the producers who choose the music. I thought it was very good.

I really struggled with his dance this week. I thought the song was totally inappropriate for a Tango. Both dance and song did not gel for me at all. Also, the camera was so far away I couldn't really see what he was doing.

Everyone was overmarked tonight.
37 for a slowstep showdance that was less than 50% in hold and a mistake-ridden foxtrot? 10 for a overly gymnastic salsa with pauses before each lift? Len 'not mentioning' Rinder's footwork mistakes and giving him an 8? |

I disagree. I think if they were all marked entirely honestly on ability and technique, he'd be so far ahead of the others it would be embarrassing for everybody.

![]() Danny was overmarked yet again, me thinks he must be struggling for the public votes. Louise was overmarked too, yet again Kevin played it safe & seem to be more out of hold than in. I'm happy Clauida got a 10 at last, but IMO Bruno overmarked her, was 9's at best. JR's score was about right, but now I'm getting bored with his back chat to Craig. |

They were all overmarked. I thought the dancing was of a pretty poor standard as a whole tonight but considering how they marked the rest, Danny and Oti had to get that.

As Craig said, not worth a ten this time. I thought the song was better suited to quickstep and not a tango.

How anyone could give that tango (I'm assuming it was a tango because we kept being told it was) a ten is beyond believable. But Danny is the judges pick this year so he can't not be top of the leader board.

I don't think he's been overmarked before tonight, but i definitely think the marks were too high for that tango. However, saying that, it was the best dance of the night (in my opinion) and deserved to be top of the leaderboard, so he ended up overmarked, as a result of people before him being over marked also.
It was a surprisingly pretty lacklustre show on the whole this evening, and i'm not sure any of them warranted something over a 9! |

I would have given it a 9. His technique wasn't perfect and the song was awful. However I preferred it to anything else tonight so the leaderboard ranking was correct for me. I disagree there's bias towards Danny though. His last four dances have all been incredible and deserving of high marks. |

Opinions are funny things. I've felt he has had some of the standout dances for me (Samba, Charleston, AT) and felt he was finally getting the recognition for the hours upon hours he and Oti were putting in to deliver real wow dances.
And he was easily top for me tonight. |

I agree. However I don't think the song left any room for stealth or passion or stillness. It was an absolutely dreadful song choice for a tango and I'm amazed Oti managed to produce anything even remotely resembling a tango for it.

And he was easily top for me tonight. Ore, JR & Claudia all have day jobs too, they don't have the luxury like Danny spending 10 hours plus a day training. |
