Bias towards Danny? You mean Danny who had a fantastic Paso that was worth a 40 but only got 36 because it was "too early for a 10". The next week, Ore got 3 10s for a pretty boring jive.

There is a bias, but it's not for Danny.

What do you mean 'again'? He had full marks last week because they were fully deserved.

In terms of overmarking, the Telegraph Strictly blog has got ALL the scores wrong.

If the judges think that a dance deserves a 10, it's up to them. As far as am aware, there are no guidelines for scoring. In this competition, scores are subjective.

Yet another routine from Danny and Oti that lacked light and shade. It is moments of stillness that make bursts of speed and attack all the more impressive. A tango without stealth isn't a tango at all...

I do enjoy watching him, and I respect his skill and dedication, but Danny will never ever inspire me to vote for him. Besides, he doesn't need the glitterball to improve his future - his West End career will be a shoe in.

Well I'm not sure you could (I did say some of the issues were with the music). The problem is that the main signature of tango is the way the step is taken. It is, with a few exceptions, a heel lead, and the step is delayed until the very last minute (ie. Body moves forward and when it is no longer possible to hold back you step and place the foot very sharply). It needs to be quite grounded and low too with flexed knees. If that can't be demonstrated, for whatever reason, then it isn't a tango in my book. The only thing that I think Oti could have done would have been to have made the choreography less busy, so that he could at least demonstrate to some extent, but I agree that the music was a big challenge.

I do like Danny though. I think he is really good. My favourite of the better dancers.

I didn't much like Danny's dance tonight but as others said, the music was a bad choice for Tango. It looked too much like a Showdance rather than a Tango as well (he wasn't the only one to suffer in that department).

IMO he was overmarked this week and Claudia was better, but I wouldn't say that Danny has been overmarked in general. Maybe a few times, but others his scores have been stingy.

Sorry Danny fans, he was wildly over marked and as Craig said, it should never be a ten with those mistakes.

Not only was the heel leads missing, but it meant that every step came from the wrong place, so he was throwing his leg out and tapping it.

He wasn't in the knees enough, he wasn't staccato and he was smiling all through it.

As a performance, it was good, but as a tango, not worth a ten.

I think all the performances were swamped by the production and for the first time, I put Claudia top of my leaderboard.

I didn't think Claudia was that great either - she kept preparing, the start of the dance especially lacked fluidity, the lifts were a bit unstable and there wasn't loads of salsa either.

Claudia had balance issues and was stuttery at times so her marks were generous .. that is the 10 was anyway. Think the leaderboard was correct .. even if the scores weren't.

I feel Oti's outfit and the routine actually distracted from Danny. My eyes went to her, with the big hair and skirts, and Danny seemed a bit...swallowed up by it all?

My eyes always go to Oti. Such a charismatic dancer!

But something must be up when my eyes go to Oti, too, instead of Danny.

It wasn't technically perfect but the scoring has been all over the place this series so I think the best we can hope for is some semblance of order on the leader board. None of them were perfect tonight though so it's all very subjective. I would have put Louise and Claudia above Danny just in terms of performance value but there's not much in it.

Yeah true but I really enjoyed it and it was the only performance where the song fit the dance.

I agree they had nowhere to go after marking Claudia high after mistake's, it all worked out in the end with the leaderboard as it should be in my opinion, and it was nice that Claudia finally got a 10.

I think they got the actual order right, just not the absolute values. If you give somebody four nines and then there's somebody better it would be unfair to not give better points to them.
