I don't think he is always overmarked. Generally I prefer him to the other dancers that are left. However I really didn't like tonight's tango. Some of the issues were related to the music but some were his. Tango is not a bash and dash. It is stealthy and passionate, with some stillness between steps.

Yes overmarked.
Actually thought Danny should have been fourth tonight behind Louise, Claudia and Ore. |

I find all Danny's dances bash and dash. No lyrical quality at all.

Everyone was overmarked tonight.
37 for a slowstep showdance that was less than 50% in hold and a mistake-ridden foxtrot? 10 for a overly gymnastic salsa with pauses before each lift? Len 'not mentioning' Rinder's footwork mistakes and giving him an 8? Quote:
They were all overmarked. I thought the dancing was of a pretty poor standard as a whole tonight but considering how they marked the rest, Danny and Oti had to get that.

If only he was the only one overmarked. Everyone was overmarked, everyone, every single one. Shocking bias? Nope. Ludicrous scoring all round? Yep. |

I agree - they were all over-marked tonight. I wish we could have more consistent marking over the series so that viewers can really see the value of higher scores.

Yes, the ten's for Danny were a bit ridiculous.
The dance was good but his footwork clearly wasn't right (Len and Carig both picked up on this) so awarding a perfect score when the dance wasn't perfect is poor. And by giving him tens Darcy and Bruno have basically said that his Tango was as good as his amazing Samba which is just crazy! |

Sorry Danny fans, he was wildly over marked and as Craig said, it should never be a ten with those mistakes.
Not only was the heel leads missing, but it meant that every step came from the wrong place, so he was throwing his leg out and tapping it. He wasn't in the knees enough, he wasn't staccato and he was smiling all through it. As a performance, it was good, but as a tango, not worth a ten. |

Shocking bias towards Danny
![]() I guess he must be struggling for votes so they have to keep putting him top of the leaderboard despite doing heel leads. Quote:
Ore was the one who was overmarked I thought.

Danny's footwork breaks down at least once each week, but no one notices till its too late.
His posture is always fantastic though and he can carry himself in and out of hold. It was a solid "9" dance but not "10". |

I wasn't that keen on Ore's dance but then Foxtrot is my least favourite dance. Always find them very dull.

So true. I do think 10's have lost their wow factor now as they're handed out so often. The judges will actually comment on the mistakes then proceed to mark a 10
![]() They've done it with ALL of the 3 'so called' contenders, no bias there that I can see. |

To be honest, I was just watching Danny's dance on the reply and I gave up on it half way through as there seemed to be very little tango, a lot of show dancing, and the backing dancers were just getting in the way.

They had no maneuvering space left after they overmarked Ore. It had to be tens if they wanted to mark somebody better.

He got a fair mark. Danny's was NOT better, although it was flashier, and neither was Claudia's. |

He wasn't overmarked from where the marks started tonight. Between Ore and Joanne's flat Foxtrot, with mistakes, thru half a Quickstep and Claudia and AJ's "finally a 10", with mistakes, to the final dance.
