So the OP believes him being gay is a disadvantage, I don't get it?
As if he won't win, pretty boy's always do. |

Yep i had expected tonight to be pretty boring in a predictable way but it would appear we are seeing a complete change of direction by producers and a definite Matt deramping so all in all proving to be quite interesting for those of us that are interested in the dynamics of the show!
Every other judge praised Matt. On Emily's performance, she received much heavier criticism from all three judges that weren't Simon. Have we changed the conspiracy theory so the judges who aren't producers don't know their evil scheme? Haha the mind boggles. Get the tin foil hats out before the producers try and use radio signals to stop you voting for Matt. |

Poor Matt.
Thought he was really good with Silent Night. Not the chosen one after all. It should not be song with a twiddly voice and he should not have squealed the end. What was the choir all about ? |

The judges did seem very uncharacteristically harsh on him tonight. he's had worse performances and been praised for them, tonight he did ok IMO and still got ripped apart. Strange.

How can Simon justify giving 5AM two standing ovations tonight and none for Matt

Or people who believe in imaginary machiavellian producers.

I think it was basically Simon trying hard to get his last remaining girl into the final despite her being a terrible singer. Just listen to her performances from tonight. The children's choir basically carried the first song and she was terrible on the second.

From what I've seen so far tonight it certainly looks like producers have switched horses to me!
I wonder if they've realised that a Finnish winner in a post brexit era would generate more headlines and column inches! Quote:

Do you not realise how mad it sounds to suggest they want a Finnish winner for column inches in a post Brexit era? ![]() Saara is performing well and gets praise. Emily and Matt are putting in mediocre performances and getting luke warm comments. What does it mean!!!!???? |

Simon doesnt want to sign him because James Graham is about to release music. He got a record deal so there is no gap in the market for Matt.James is a far better singer.Had he been solo and not in Stereo Kicks,he would have won 2014.

It's not really fair to say someone is making a fool of themselves simply for not being on the conspiracy theory bus - especially when there is nowhere near any consensus and people are just pissing in the wind in every which direction.

I felt sorry for Matt and Emily tonight, they both seemed a bit down like they knew what the deal was. Saara seems to be steaming ahead on strength of performance and then it was operation get 5am to the final at all costs. |

If Matt goes, it's because he wasn't as good this week. Nothing to do with being on first or not being a favourite. Matt was straining in places, whereas normally he would belt out the notes. He looked nervous & uncomfortable throughout the performance & his performances are becoming a bit dull. Mind you, Emily is duller but that's for another thread.

Matt looked so nervous and sad tonight. He wasn't himself. I think he knows he's going home tomorrow.

If they'd have wanted column inches they would have saddled themselves with Honey G as their winner. |
