The worst semi final in the history of the show
Absolutely dreadful quality. Well done to Cowell and the producers for sending home the best singers at JH.

The problem with tonight is that the two male acts aren't very good in any shape or form.
Then we've got one act that's a very strong vocalist but a cliched style of Music. Then we have another act who has an interesting style of Music but can't sing very well and dragged her two songs down with her because of that tonight, especially with War Is Over. |

Saara is very formal and not what I associate with TXF, but I still like her However, I thought the arrangement of Chandelier was terrible and lacked the flow that her audition version had I was really looking forward to it, but it just didn't work for me; really disappointed The Nicole v Simon squabbling has got a bit unpleasant too |

Agree with this, it has to be said that tonight's show didn't offer much in the way of entertainment value, overall it was pretty dreary and bland!
I mean Sam could've had Emily's song choices, Freddy could've took a mesh of Matt's Say You Love Me and 5AM's version of Stay Another Day, and Gifty or Relley both could've done their own thing that would've been more exciting to watch than Matt's falsetto, The Middle Guy And His Backing Singers, and I like Indie Music and failing miserably at singing it. I know I'm probably sounding harsh here, but in a long winded post it's kinda frustrating that so many of us are feeling like this about these acts. And there was the JH where I think that Christian and Peyton would've been very good at the lives. |

I think this semi-final needed Sam, Freddy, and one of Gifty or Relley as they all would've fought Saara alot better than what 5AM, Matt, and Emily have done tonight.

As underwhelming as that semi final was, the idea that Sam or Freddy could have improved it is is laughable, both were dreadful and should have been nowhere near the live shows.
The fact they and other poor contestants got through ruined the show this year. |

One excellent singer worth tuning in for -- Saara Aalto.

Emily was dreadful, she can barely hit the high notes with the falsetto but then she tried the lower register and it's equally painful to listen to.
