Harsh but true. She is bland.
She only sang about half the first song. The choir drowned her out |

They might want him gone but I don't think it will work he is to good and Simon doing a hatchet job on mat will make more people vote for him.

Leona Lewis never moved James Arthur did tgd same thing every week Never heard anyone complaining then Emily has been on week after week singing the same dreary sad numbers over and over again. Simon seems to want her to be this kooky/creepy alternative act but Emily just doesn't have the stage presence to pull it off. Leona was captivating. Emily is not. |

My goodness, I haven't been on this forum for a few years.
Yep Emily was dull as hell - she is the weakest link, goodbye! |

Leona didn't do turn uptempo songs into ballads. She didn't slow down Lady Marmalade into a funeral march. That is Emilys USP.
I don't even know Emily and Leona are even being compared. They are not in the same league and never, ever will be! |

Sorry, Leona is in another league. Leona's amazing vocals will make Emily move and shake instead of being static every week. Remember, Leona has recorded uptempo songs on her albums

its quite funny sometimes reading this forum and all the conspiracy theories about the level of manipulation and control the producers have but when Emily gets given predicable songs with dreary arrangements every week its all her fault for being bland and boring

Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up doing the sing-off tomorrow night. I agree with Louis that she does pretty much the same thing every week. Saara at least is versatile and does performances that we will all remember. Emily's performances fall flat and like Matt, her higher vocal register is just uncomfortable to listen to.

She has been bland and dreary all the way through the live shows - I'm surprised she has lasted this long

I think this is precisely the point, people go on and on as if the producer manipulate the show and everyone on here is just so clever that they can see through the machinations but then there seems to be disagreement on exactly who is being sabotaged.
I'm pretty sure I saw a few triangles during the show, maybe the illumaniti is control of the show now |

Yes
It's all set for a Matt comeback next week. Just wait So with this in mind and knowing that with the app vote Producers now have much more info about the exact demographic voting for each contestant along with any crossover voting i.e. people who will say vote for Saara one week and Matt another perhaps this knowledge has told them that in order to get Saara through to next week they have to damage Matts vote so some of it jumps across to Saara? Once this is achieved maybe he will bounce to win next week although it is still possible they have simply swopped horses! |

Do we not want the judges to give honest opinions? Emily does the same thing every week. We all know this, it's hardly harsh. She really should have been in the bottom 2 by now.

Leona wasn't a dancer, but she at least sang a few upbeat songs on the show. Lady Marmalade and Summertime spring to mind.
Leona was captivating. She was about as "captivating" as a fishmonger's window. |

I think Emily has only really had two good performances in the whole show, one at judges houses with 'exes and oh's' and 'creep'. The rest has just been dull and lifeless with consistently weak, fragile vocals. Not a fan of her at all.

About a month ago she said she really wanted to do uptempo and since then she'd done nothing but slowed down John Lewis dirges so pretty sure she doesn't figure in their plans for a winner

Maybe Simon knows that is exposing her weakness doing uptempo songs

SYCO have an amazing platform via the X Factor and 3-4 months of prime time promotion, surely it must be in their best interests to try and market all the acts during that time, give them the sort of material that the act wants to do and would be releasing after the show, rather than hold back acts with unimaginative and unsuitable song choices and arrangements i get that it is at the end of the day a saturday night TV show but not letting the acts do what they are best at surely doesn't help the show either |
