I think he is just VERY unreliable and flaky.

Would be surprised if another TV network touched him with a barge pole after this.

Also I hope he's given his appearance fee back...

Well it would be ridiculous him appearing wouldn't it seeing as he's not been part of the show since week 3. Better keeping out of it and then the headlines will be about the Final, and not about him - he's made the right choice. And I say that as someone who was very keen on him taking part, and very sad when he left.

I can't say I'm surprised about this as he left for personal reasons and has never appeared on ITT so I think it would have been awkward for him to appear in the final group dance. I think he has made the right decision.

I think it's the section where ALL of the 2016 dancers come back to do a routine? Can't remember who went out first but whoever it was, even they'll be back for the final.

Will would have known he was signing up for that when he joined SCD and he should honour the commitments he made to the show.

Very, very flaky.

I think at this point, participating would be equally as controversial.

I don't care anymore what he does really, but I am annoyed that as a result of his pulling out we have one less couple in the final, robbing someone of a final place.

Agree. I've always got a vibe of him bring rather up himself but gave him the benefit of the doubt. However his strictly experience seems to have shown my instincts were correct

I feel sorry for Karen that she won't get her 15 seconds in the spotlight, but...meh. Whatever the reason, be it within or outwith his control, he's made it clear he wants nothing more to do with the show so this isn't much of a surprise. The final will survive without him.

Of course but it sends out out a terrible message in terms of his reliability and work ethic.

I should think his agent's are tearing their hair out...

Clearly the old saying "The show must go on" doesn't apply to Will lol!

Probably the right decision given he pretty much abandoned the show really early on and didn't even appear on ITT. Shame, as I was looking forward to seeing him take part. His whole departure does seem a bit odd but giving him the benefit of the doubt, he has the right to his privacy.

She hardly needs it after absorbing performances like her 'Maria' today...she is better well rid of Will IMO.

As a celeb, you pays your money and takes your choice...for better or worse...

I know what you mean but what about the people who aren't celebs first and foremost? What if you were a writer, a painter, musician, actor, singer, whatever, dancer, etc, and that was what made your brain fire up and your heart pound? Then being a celebrity is just a penalty you have to pay...

I know we live in the age of Big Brother and Towie, but that doesn't mean everyone famous really wants to be famous.

No idea about Will in truth. I haven't followed his career. But maybe he's artist first, celeb second??

"Refused" makes him sound bitter and angry but later on it says he 'politely declined' and wished the remaining contestants all the best. I'd have been more surprised if he'd turned up tbh as the speculation surrounding his withdrawal would just start up again.

The forum would be inundated with "well, he doesn't look depressed to me...he must have just been bored that week"

They managed to hide the lack of Ola quite well in 2014 for the final group dance but maybe this time they'll just leave Karen out anyway.
