Which surely should give anyone a clue that he didn't leave due to depression or anxiety.
However since aparently people have decided left because of those reasons, they can't possibly admit that logically it can't be so The more likely reason is that for personal reasons he had to leave and cannot say for personal reasons. Just as he said |

Well said. The Will apologists on this board seemingly can't just put his case - no they have to label everybody who thinks he let the side down as bitter and twisted. Apart from anything else, it is just so boring, the last resort of those who are, apparently, unable to debate. Why they don't just post on the relevant fan club sites is beyond me.

I think it's laughable that you think Strictly is so important and that he deserves your vitriol. It really isn't, it's just a TV show and he's got it in perspective and you haven't. He's walked away from it for whatever reason and you and any fellow obsessives just can't stomach it, you've got to repeat the same old tripe we heard weeks ago.

I was sorry when Will left because I was really enjoying what he was bringing to the party. Yes, I would like to know why he decided to sling his hook but if he doesn't want to go into detail that's fine, too. Forced confessionals - no thank you.
I'm sad he is isn't coming back for the class of 2016 final dance but if for whatever reason his heart isn't in it then it's probably best that he stays away - just going through the motions isn't much fun at all, for anyone. |

Karen disavowed that as a lie weeks ago.
You know the Karen who went to Cornwall and rehearsed with him, that Karen. |

I don't blame him. He really struggles with anxiety and depression, so what would the point in putting himself through it all again? He tried it, couldn't manage and so did the right thing and dropped out.

I didn't know Karen had denied the Cornwall story. Do you have the source, as I couldn't find anything via Google?

Very true ... unreliability for whatever reason doesn't sit well with promoters.
He has gigged since leaving Strictly so clearly doesn't appear to have had some kind of breakdown? It's a new form of breakdown. Spasmodic and selective! |

You really need to look up vitriol and start using it properly., I am making a criticism of a performer on an entertainment show on a message board. Why not debate properly - so much more interesting and informative

He doesn't have the grit and guts to just get on with things and stop focussing on himself., preferring to moon about with his mobile phone. I was a big fan before SCD - all his records and seen him live, but this has really turned me off. He let a lot of people down, not least himself and I bet producers don't return his calls.

Fair's fair, though. Her use of 'same old tripe' was spot on
![]() ![]() In my view, however much I disagree with a point of view, I totally respect the person's right to post it. What is so much more interesting is to try to sway opinions through debate and discussion. I honestly can't see the point of posting on a message board if the level of your dialogue is to call other people's viewpoints tripe.

I've read your repetitive posts slagging Will off. No way are you a former fan more someone with an agenda.
It is of none of my concern whether you think I am a fan of Will's or not. I could send you pictures of the album covers and I've even got a flyer from one of his gigs, but this is not the point. You think Will behaved okay - convince me through the power of your oratory. |

Why does it matter so much to you? How has it affected you? I do think you have a problem with the man that extends far beyond his involvement with Strictly, the amount of posts you've made on the subject are testament to that. As for debate, it has to be reasoned and quite honestly, where Will is concerned, I don't think you're able to do that. |

Oh dear. Try debating the subject, not pretending to know me or any other poster. It is a message board, not a kindergarten.

Why would I bother nothing I say will change your mind.
Just as you will never persuade me that any former fan could be so downright nasty, I'm not trying to persuade you! Actually, if you put forward some powerfully persuasive arguments, well expressed, without personal insults, I would always listen to the evidence. I have not enjoyed seeing Will implode which is why I have been hard on him. I have followed his career since the beginning, often championing him when others have hinted he is not all he might be. But abandoning SCD for me showed all the worst aspects of a star who has lost the plot. Perhaps if Will had more people around him who genuinely cared about him and his career and were prepared to be honest about his behaviour, he might survive, but I guess he surrounds himself with sycophants. It is all a great shame. |

I think you really need to look to your self and ask why you have found it necessary to post over and over again such nasty hate filled posts about a man , a stranger to you, whose only crime was to leave a TV show. He hasn't murdered anyone, he's not on trial here, he made no excuses, he just said he was leaving for personal reasons and that could be just about anything.

I know what you mean but what about the people who aren't celebs first and foremost? What if you were a writer, a painter, musician, actor, singer, whatever, dancer, etc, and that was what made your brain fire up and your heart pound? Then being a celebrity is just a penalty you have to pay...
I know we live in the age of Big Brother and Towie, but that doesn't mean everyone famous really wants to be famous. No idea about Will in truth. I haven't followed his career. But maybe he's artist first, celeb second?? Despite entering the music business via Pop Idol anyone who has followed Will's career will know he isn't fame hungry, so I would say yes he is an artist first and a somewhat reluctant celeb. I never understood why he opted to do Strictly in the first place. That for me is his only error of judgement. |

You make a very good point. I, too, was surprised when I saw he was entering SCD. I always thought he and his management had done an excellent job with his career, managing the difficult transition from pop star to mainstream artist with real longevity, extremely well. I think Will is one of the few contestants for whom SCD will have had a negative effect.
