"Bitter criticism or malice" - spot on. I rest my case.

All your repetitive posts show is that you wouldn't know a debate if it bit you on the backside.

Since we appear to have perfected time travel, can we do something useful with it and go back to have another shot at the EU referendum, or stop Tess's dresser from turning up for their interview?

What's that? It's not mid-October all over again? Are you sure??

...no! Tempting as it is. Have you never paid proper attention in Dr Who? You must never ever mess with the time/space doodah, except to correct messes caused when someone else has messed with the time/space doodah.

Obviously there is some problem, I hope he gets some help and deals with all these issues. Mental health issue is serious a thing.

I followed Will Young's career from the very beginning of Pop Idol. I went to all his concerts and have met him a few times and he is charming and funny. He has had many demons to deal with in the past two years Including severe depression, alcohol and porn addiction and a lot more and 6 months in rehab. I don't know the real reason he quit SCD but whatever the reason I am sure it was not because of the criticism received from Len or coming to the conclusion he wasn't as good as he thought. Fame and money doesn't always bring you happiness.
Being sent off to boarding school at 7 and dealing with being gay is not easy either.

Can I mess with the time/space doodah to correct Claudia getting 9s for that jive?

Can we tell Darcey that no heel leads in a tango does not make a 10 dance too?

I think the fact that Will has been so forthright about the things you have mentioned makes it even more difficult to understand why he hasn't come clean about his reasons for leaving the show. Severe depression, alcohol and porn addiction, aren't perhaps things many would volunteer to acknowledge to the world, and yet if mental illness was the reason for his departure, i am unsure it wouldn't have proved a shock to many. However, whatever the reason, Will doesn't feel he can disclose, which leads to all kinds of unsavory rumours, and high on the agenda, the belief he has been involved in some kind of bust up, because that would appear consistent in him failing to acknowledge why he quit.

Will has never spoken out about his metal health isues at the time when he's been suffering but years after. No one who watched him on stage in Cabaret would have guessed his turmoil, yet he checked into the trauma clinic shortly after. I don't know why he felt he needed to leave Strictly but if it was to do with his mental well being, maybe he felt he couldn't air that at the time. He's spoken about recognising the triggers now. Perhaps he felt the pressure building on Strictly and thought it best to walk away.

I really debated contributing to this thread; especially given the other Will's thread I have been to. I am just going to follow this advice " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything".

I still had to say something though

I hope he is ok ! I think he deserves a bit of sympathy.

Didn't he see his Cabinet engagements through, though?

The scenario on this occasion is rather different.

Exactly Sid. That one word makes him seem diva-ish and stroppy and they knew that was the best way to stir things up again - the exact opposite of Will's intentions.

If Will keeps quiet and never mentions Strictly again, I think public will move on from this saga, but if he gives an interview and says something bad, then it might turn ugly.
I don't think he will do that.

Didn't he throw a strop after being criticised by Len?
Mental health or ego?

Refused my arse! I think it's disgusting the way people here and in the media are vilifying him for being unwell. When you're unwell you do not function in a 'normal way', why is that so difficult to comprehend for some? 🙄 I wish him well and hope he continues to manage his illness.

An overblown ego he expected to be stroked and told how brilliant he is (not!).

You've been busy. NONE of that qualifies as evidence of any "strop".

Will had told friends he was struggling from extreme anxiety in the build up to Saturday's show before he dramatically quit yesterday.
