I've heard singers like Saara before - nothing special to write home about, I'm just being honest. I think she will do well in theatres. Quite frankly, the whole season has been terrible

It was ok until judges houses then it all went wrong.
With different choices by some of the judges, it could have been a decent year

The only thing I found entertaining were the judges this season.
OK I did like Relley C and Gifty but I have heard singers better than them. 5am are OK but there were so many R+B boybands in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s who will wipe them clean - even JLS were better vocally

I loved Saara's first song, but didn't think much of the second 'chandelier' one really.

I preferred her audition to this version. It sounded better to me with how basic it was, just her singing along to the track and not trying too hard.

It sounded ok after the initial stumble, but the original has so much soul in it, you can really imagine Sia trying to stifle her problems by drinking the night away. I can't really picture Saara doing the same.

Still miles better than the other 3.

I think the producers were trying to sabotage her with that ridiculous dress, which obviously restricted her movement and made her nervous. If she is able to move freely I think she would have performed it much better with no inhibitions. Still very good though.

Are you joking. That Kevin doesn't come even close to Saara. I think Saara's version was even much better than Sia's own versions. Let's face it. Saara's Chandelier beats all of your videos by a mile. It was just sensational.

She's the best left in tge competition, so far ahead of everyone else, that it's not even funny. That's why people praise her so much. Shes not competing against Leona Lewis, etc, so no point in comparing these two.

She does not sound like an opera singer. Opera is an entirely different style of singing, different technique, than how Saara sings - she has been singing in a contemporary style throughout this whole competition. Actual classical singers would have a problem with belting (which isn't really done in classical), and the high notes she can hit with her contemporary style of singing would be a struggle for classically trained singers - the sounds are created with different technique in contemporary singing. It's the difference between ballet and tap dancing - both require very different skills to execute well.

I'm not familiar with the song but I do remember thinking 'wow' and getting goosebumps when Kevin did it on The Voice. I didn't get a reaction anything like that when Saara performed last night.

BiB - always the best indicator of a great performance as its completely involuntary and not subject to any preconceived bias

THIS. For proper singers, see: The Voice.

ITV should just retire this show now that they have The Voice.

Except the voice doesn't generate stars. X factor may not always generate the best singers, but it gives them a platform. Look at one direction. Technically not fantastic but made millions. The voice uk always attracts great talent but I've yet to see a finalist have a career out of the show.

As for saaras performance last night , it was good but not sensational. Her audition version however was exceptional. Last weeks winner takes it all was superior to both performances last night. Having said that, she is still the best singer in the competition, has a phenomenal voice and deserves to win amongst those currently in the competition. I disagree with anyone who says she's amateur.

She's a professional singer who has sung opera with Andrea Bocelli amongst others. I already knew that, but a simple Google search would have told you her credentials. In reference to the song, I'm a bit confused as to what you were expecting. She sang it and sang it well. What more did you want. A triple somersault while whistling the Star Spangled Banner backwards and juggling half a dozen turnips. Its a singing competition, she is the only actual singer left.

They changed how she sang it because they knew that her audition was powerful, passionate and just basically absolutely great!

Edit: I think Saara sang that beautifully though. What a voice she's got. I think Saara's nervousness caused her to lose a high pitch because she ended it sooner than she should have, and the look on her face told you this. It doesn't matter anyway though. She sang it great. Well done Saara, that was great!

I don't know why she gets so nervous for, her voice is so easily better than 5 After Midnight and Emily's. Not exactly competition for her. She could destroy them both. The only one who could be any competition for her is Matt. She should be relaxing a bit more when singing. It's if she comes up against Matt that she might, might get beaten. She should have no worries with the other two acts though.

I don't see any point in comparing Saara to Sia as the latter is not in this competition. For me Saara is the best singer /performer in what has been (imo) a pretty poor year. I haven't voted in XF for years but if Saara makes it to the final, I will vote for her.

I think Sia has the more appealing voice. Saara is a little better technically I think because she approaches the notes with a bit more caution so as to not rip her vocal chords up. But personally I do prefer Sia's voice on that song. I think Saara would suit something like Evanescence music (though I find them a little bit over the top), at least their more piano based stuff.

I agree - her audition was the best of the year for me. I honestly thought we were looking at the winner when she sang Chandelier in the room audition.

She is better when she is just singing without all the weird costumes and dancers around her. Her sing-off performances were her best.

I hope she wins as she is the best singer - but I am sure Matt will win, unfortunately.

Oh please. I know fanbois are fanatical but this response is the biggest pile of nonsense I have seen for ages in DS. I can only assume you are a WUM

On the off chance (very off chance) that you are not a WUM you can get hearing tests for free.

What a nasty, charmless character.

Hmm, since you have appointed yourself as the forum morality officer I look forward to all negative posts being judged.

As to the comment - the original comment was ridiculous.

I do think The Voice will be the serious singing show and XF will be more about boy/girl bands, teens and novelty acts

This in spades.
