Of course, God forbid anyone should suggest that acrimony isn't the way to go and giving a balanced opinion is right. You know what though your attitude is great, you definitely won't end up in a terrible job regretting your whole life.

I'm not being fanatical but I prefer Saaras version to Kevin's. She was amazing. Jordan Smith on the US voice did a fantastic version of Chandelier as well that I preferred to Kevin's.

I thought it was superb.

Anyway I'd rather she win than 5AM (featuring backing tracks), Emily who lost all personality before the live shows and that other one.

But would you say it was even better than Sia's? The Sia version was OK but the vocals were off at times and the diction was not clear. It may have been nerves but for my money Kevin was better and the Sia versions are sublime.

I liked Saara's performance of Chandelier, but I agree with the sentiment that it could have been so much better. The first half was a little awkward, she looked and sounded really nervous, though managed to get a hold of herself for the second half.

For me, Reigan Derry's performance of Chandelier on the Australian version remains the best X Factor rendition of the track so far.

A triple somersault while whistling the Star Spangled Banner backwards and juggling half a dozen turnips. Its a singing competition, she is the only actual singer left.”

Thanks for the tip about google. I would never had guessed. I have heard people sing equally if not better than Saara at local pantomimes. Of the remaining acts she is the best of a bad bunch and is only getting plaudits because her competition is so dire. She's a decent singer but doesn't have the X factor in my opinion. I actually preferred Gifty's first few performances. It's the producers fault for putting through too many people who can't sing.

The thing is, she hasn't been mostly allowed to sing what she's been comfortable with. A video below that shows Saara singing what she's comfortable with.

I love Saara, her performance of Chandelier was good!

Sure, maybe it wasn't outstanding or amazing, but in a night full of dull and "ok"-ish performances, that was the best of the night.

It's the difference between ballet and tap dancing - both require very different skills to execute well.”

While I agree with some of what you have written, the BiB is quite wrong.

You must have been to pantomime's put on by the Royal Opera company then! Clearly haven't bothered to look her up or you would also have found out that she was one of the voice actors in Frozen.

I found it a lot better than the original, her best performance, the performance of the night& series it was magic and spectacular it was far from average, I think that was her golden ticket into the final and rightly so, she deserved it after that performance

I disagree with the bit in bold. Her performance of Chandelier in her audition was better. For me it had the wow factor.

It was a lot better than Andrea's two years back, but it was overrated.

Is it just me who thought the dress was terrible? It looked so cumbersome I assumed it was going to suddenly turn into something else

It's all about opinions. Personally it was my favourite version of Chandelier I've heard and I include the original in that. Yes you could hear a few nerves at the start but I could listen to Saara sing all day. Her voice is sensational.

Was it her best performance of the entire series? Maybe not but she's been the best contestant most weeks and the semi final was no different. She deserves to win.

Saara is one of the very few contestants I've ever voted for on any series of XF.

Not necessarily. For a classically trained singers it often can be be difficult to switch off that style especially with high notes. Depends on their overall level of experience and skill though I suppose. The ones I've come across have all been fairly young and very focused on classical and not much other experience behind them.

I think Saara performed Chandelier a bit better when watching the video of her in Helsinki. The temperature might have affected how well she sang, but she still did good though. I noticed that she put power into part of the song that she didn't when singing it back at the X Factor live show.

Fortunately an amateur opera singer trying to sing pop is still infinitely better than the dirge being offered up by 5AM, Matt and Emily.

I fast forward through XF now, the joys of technology, so I can't comment on the judges' reaction, but needless to say if they were complimentary about any of the other acts then I'd say jumping on the table, cracking open the champagne and rolling in a bed of £5 notes would be just about right for Saara's performance.

Oh the vitriol and anger. Where do you people get it from? Jesus. On balance, it was good. She sang well. She might have been nervous. Why hate? Why not just give a balanced assessment.
