I thought you posted a while back you wanted to see them released? Aren't you supposedly a "massive fan of the show".

Now there's an idea

A massive fan who doesn't want the shows history accessible to all, especially those of us too young to have seen it on first broadcast?

Why is there a thread on this every other day?

Bottom line is ITV will not release them. Very little demand, expensive to maintain a full collection of a running drama, and it's not cost effective.

The best you can hope for is themed nights, and/or the Granada Plus recordings which are on sale.

Why not? There's a thread on who should be axed every day.

You have no evidence for the claim that there is little demand!

Themed nights only ever show highlights episodes, many of us want to sequentially watch Coronation Street through the years.

ANOTHER thread on this? I want to see every episode released but it's never gonna happen. Constantly moaning on an internet forum isn't going to get them released.

Well, if you want to see them released, sign our petition! At least then ITV will realise the market ****ing exists. I'd guess at least 50% of Corrie fans would want to see the entire archive released which makes the shows belligerent attitude even worse. Moaning on an internet forum won't change anything, actively campaigning them and arranging that on an internet forum will.

Now now the 6 people who signed the petition deserve to get what they want. iTV will make a fortune, charge them 13.99 per episode

Charging such a high price would be counterproductive. Average viewing figures for the Granada plus episodes numbered in the thousands, that's a better stat to go by.

Classic Corrie on G+ ended 12 years ago when it made way for ITV3. In that time, there has not been one successful campaign to drum up support for it to return, or for ITV to show older episodes other than the first one.

Demand is there, but it's half-hearted. At best if it was mentioned in a conversation, people would support the archive release but they wouldn't force the issue. DS is just a fraction of the Corrie audience.

No one would be more delighted if the archive was open than me, but get real - this won't happen under current ITV management. They are focused on the show's present rather than celebrating the glorious past.

We are closing all of your threads on this subject. Please. Stop making threads on the same exact topic over and over again. We would usually merge them or leave one open, but you have purposefully made so many that we're just closing them all. By all means make a thread if this ever actually happens but until then we will be closing every thread on this subject.
