I realise we'll never know but what do you think the dynamic would have been had Will Young not withdrawn?

Not sure ... I think he might have got to the final. He seemed popular.

He did not appeal to me,but I think his artistry could have carried him a long way.

No I don't think so

I think we would have likely seen the competition being between Will and Danny.
I don't think 'Cliftongate' reared up till after Will left.

As I've said before, I think the producers originally wanted an all-Clifton final (well, all-Clifton plus probably Danny).

Wouldn't dream of coming on here without one.

Well, all three Cliftons got good partners this year, and when Joanne first joined they tried a "sibling rivalry" storyline that had to be scrapped after it turned out Scott Mills was the worst dancer ever to have walked this Earth. So it's just what I reckon they were hoping for.

His popularity has waned over the years and I don't think his time on Strictly endeared him to the average Strictly viewer or brought him new fans, so I'd say no.

Yet here we are 2 weeks from the end and apart from one on ITT in relation to the pro challenge, no mention of a sibling rivalry. You would expect them to be making rather more of "Battle of the Cliftons" if that were the motive for all the "outrageous overmarking" and "blatent bias"

It's an interesting one. Having seen Louise in the opening dance I didn't expect her to get this far. She was quite lacklustre. An interesting question is if Laura had been given to Kevin and Louise to Giovanni would Louise be in quarter final? I don't think so nothing to do with bias but because Kevin is a better teacher and choreographer. Kevin has worked well with Louise. Giovanni wouldn't have had the patience.

Have to say that Joanne is a little irritating but she has undoubtedly done some great dances with Ore. Again at the start didn't see him as a quarter finalist.

Would he really have been that popular? I seem to remember people saying that Anastacia would go far because of the popular vote.

I think so too. Not only that I don't think he was too bad.

Agree with all of this. It does, though, contribute to the "clifton favouritism" idea by default. Perhaps Kevin just can't win - or his hair!

MASSIVE HYPE...MASSIVE DISSAPOINTMENT before he flounced out.

Ed BALLS would have gone further either way.

Seriously? When she has obvious dance background even then, and is paired with teachers' pet kev??

No, because this is an intensely competitive series with several great dancers who could all make the final. Will would have clocked this and checked out, citing PTSD.

I'd be surprised if he wasn't. He's still got the 8th best average score yet only did 3 dances (and therefore never got the chance to improve to the high scores some of the others have reached).

I thought he would be better than he was so I don't think he would have got more than weeks 7-9 unless he worked very hard which by all accounts he wasn't prepared to do!
