I really like Bruno and how passionate he is. He makes me laugh. I think Craig is better this year than previously as even though he is critical he does always say something he did like. Not a fan of Darcey I feel she comes across as a bit fake and she seems to have favourites and seems to swoon over the men. Len seems ok but can seem grumpy sometimes. What do other people think?

I like them all. They all bring something different to the table .

My favorite judge is by far Bruno though. Imo he gives more constructive criticism than most, even when he's joking. Also because you never quite know what is going to come out of his mouth, , even after all these years some of the things he says still shock me . You can tell he truly loves and has so much passion for the show.

As much as I like Craig sometimes he just says one liners that don't help at all.

Surprisingly I think Darcy was closest to getting a fair order this week Craig had too small a range.

I love Craig and Bruno, Len is getting a bit past it, plus he annoys me with his, "Alright, don't start," routine - sometimes he says it when no-one's even booed him or challenged him at all! - and Darcy is really irritating in being so limited in the stock phrases she uses. She insists that everyone is 'oozing' all the time. "You OOZED with it." She needs to expand her vocabulary a bit. She also looks really stiff in the judges opening twirl and pose bit, considering she's a dancer - touch of the Naga Munchetty's!

I agree with you.

I think that might be because she was a dancer. Her joints are fooked. The price of being a prima ballerina for so long I guess.

Craig: Generally pretty on the money in critiques, can get a little panto esque in delivery but I rarely disagree with what he says

Darcey: Insipid is the word I'd use- Nice but her limited experience in Ballroom/Latin means a lot of her critiques are quite limited- Also her inability to find a paddle below 7 irritates me

Len: Grumpy old sod sometimes but generally pretty fair- I think he adds a lot of the technical side and somebody from that background need's to replace him

Bruno: Mad as a box of frogs, but generally talks sense amongst most of his antics- The livelist and most unpredicatable of the judges and I think it is genuine excitement too which is endearing

Craig...pantomime baddy.
Usually gives fair critique but sometimes just seems to take a dislike to a pair and lets his bias show.

Darcey....fairy godmother.
Favours male contestants, (a bit free with the 10's) gets bees in her bonnet about some perceived flaw in a couple and gnaws it to death even if couple improve!

Len...Baron Hardup.
Getting grumpier by the episode. Knows his ballroom and Latin but sometimes marks very erratically!

Bruno.... pantomime dame/Buttons.
Enthusiastic, OTT, but usually gives constructive criticism. Though at times he can get nasty and a bit uncomfortable to watch if he decides a couple have overstayed their welcome.

The bit about Darcey I agree with especially, she is doing it to Claudia this year, and I think, unfairly.

Yet she's marked the women higher than the men in most shows this series....hmm....

Len on the other had has a clear bias towards the male contestants and Bruno is so biased towards so females (hello Laura) that it's genuinely laughable.

Craig and Len I like. I value their opinions. I don't much care what the other 2 say.

Craig for me is the most fair judge in regards to scoring.

They're largely fine for the show but the lack of latin and ballroom dance knowledge from the majority of them can be annoying. Eg. Craig will always pick up on stuff that isn't ballroom and latin. Chaines turns, "when out of hold," "the jazz section" etc etc etc.

It is all a matter of perception. People seem to spot a judge doing something annoying and then hold it against them for years even when they've stopped doing it.

Bruno is over the top his manic arm waving is rapidly becoming a danger to low flying aircraft.

Len is looking increasingly tired and I suspect it is probably for the best that this is his last season

Craig may come across a being unpleasent but if you listen to what he actually says he is probably gives the most accurate assessment of all the judges on the whole.

Darcy is obviously the least knowledgable about ballroom dancing, at this stage she is actually struggling to comment about anything but aesthetics, there is far less analysis of the dance and more expression of 'passion' or 'intensity'. It's starting to,show her up in this stage of the show.

Craig - Tends to bring couples back down to earth while his fellow judges are praising them to the hilt (which I like). I like that he seems to critique couples and tell them where they need to improve (calling out bad hand placement etc). I also like that he doesn't give out 10s like confetti, so it means more when a couple gets a 10 from him. Can show a bit too much bias towards his favourite couple.

Bruno - Makes me laugh. I like how enthusiastic he is about the whole thing and he's pretty funny. He's kind when a celeb has made a mistake and tries to encourage them to move forward. I like his critiques and I feel that the couples get some good pointers for improvement from him. He does tend to overmark a bit too much and gives out 10s too easily.

Darcy - I think she is one of weaker judges. She can be very kind and especially to the less-able celebs. She (like Craig) can show a bit too much bias towards her favourite couple. I sometimes don't understand her critiques and some of what she says doesn't make sense. For example, earlier in the series before Danny & Oti got their first 10, she said that she felt they should have received a 10 by now, yet being a judge she was in a position to make that happen...

Len - I like that he loves traditional ballroom in hold with no faffing about. He (more than the other judges) will praise a dancer that is not so good technically provided they can at least entertain with their dancing. He is the most moody of the judges. He swings from being kind at times to being downright nasty. I do like some of his critiques and especially when he isn't being petulant.

Was she? I certainly get the feeling that Darcy was told by producers that she couldn't give a 10 to some dances because it was the wrong time or it didn't fit the narrative.

I think Lens semi-retired already and is just collecting his last cheque. He's not pulling up contestants for lack of content or breaking hold too long anymore. I don't think he can be bothered.

I thin my they should get Ina ballroom judge when Len goes and a Latin specialist to replace one of the others so that there's someone qualified to hold the standard up in all the dances.

Darcey I really liked at first but even though she (sometimes) knows what she is on about, she is biased and has a bit of spite in her. I think she is there to pull faces at Craig when he gives people like Ed Balls 2 points. She is biased towards guys. Unless they look like Ed or Dave Myers that is.

Bruno is way over the top with his windmilling arms and arsing about. Enthusiasm is fine but the saying is, what, you are a good act but on for too long? He is quite positive though and constructive with his criticism but sometimes overmarks.

Len is hot and cold, and his rictus grin reminds me of the Joker on acid, or a panto villain. I am fed up of the Seveeeeeen and From Len a 10, it's as old as the soggy bottom joke (that wasn't funny to start with) with whiskers on. I think he is petulant.

Craig is my fave funnily enough, because he is mean with the marks (I think Ed Balls as crap as he is deserved more than 2 sometimes) but his comments are genuine, spot on and I think his comments mean more than all the others.

Craig - I agree with a lot of what he says tbh. He is extremely picky technique wise but I'd rather have that than over-marking. I'd be sad to see him go if he left.

Darcy - The worst for over-marking and I find a lot of her critique can be classed as subjective. Wouldn't miss her.

Len - His only saving grace for me is the fact he's the panel's only ballroom specialist. There has to be one in the judges lineup imo so he's important for that reason. However, he seems to apply the rules when it suits him and is a bit old-fashioned for my liking.

Bruno - Completely neurotic but I love him for it. The most inoffensive of the judges for me. He often picks up on the technical aspects of dances but also appreciates the performance value, and does a good job of off-setting the two (although he can be another over-marker).

All in all, I won't be sad to see Len go (needs a ballroom/Latin replacement though!) and wouldn't miss Darcy. Craig and Bruno can stay

Darcy over marks men she fancies.
Len is fine but past it
Craig tends to hold a grudge against people he takes the huff with, but is generally right.
Bruno is fine but has his favourites.
