......... overhyped by the fawning judges. Showed them up when Dermot asked one of them to sing that line. As I have said all along, partly mimed, lost in track and bv's and over processed.

Last week they proved to me they need the backing track to cover their vocals, when they were in the sing-off with Honey G, who, although thought was rubbish, was actually better then 5AM.

That is probably the most damning thing you can say about - well - anyone!

I noticed that Dermot put his microphone in front of the lad next to him for a split and then moved it to the lad in the middle with the short hair, which, what a surprise, has the noticeably best voice.

I really like 5AM. They sounded good on Stay Another Day. Not as good on the next performance as it was a bit predictable. Not sure it will happen but at this stage would prefer a 5AM/Matt/Saara final.

I loved 5AM on Stay Another Day, though its clear there is only one singer in that group, but theres always been alot of groups like that.

Probably because they had a little 'help'.

I noticed this week only the lad in the middle had any solo bits in their songs. The other two just sang in harmony with him. Smart move as they are weak vocally in comparison. The only surprising thing to me is that they didn't do this sooner in the competition. They're very likeable, but it seems quite obvious to me and I'm sure many others that they would not be on the show without the short-haired lad. I'm rubbish with names, sorry.

Yes. It seems they are quite aware of how weak their vocals are, and he's the star.

5 After Midnight are good dancers though. They know how to get the audience going. I think they could be more charismatic when performing, but I'm sure they'll eventually get that right in time.

Every band has lead singer.

Of course. I just think from the get-go they should have put themselves across that way and not had the other two lads sing on their own. Unless of course those two genuinely believed they were good singers. That does happen on these shows. Someone should have been honest and told them only to do harmonies. As a group they sound ok.

I agree, I find them very entertaining to watch.

They should've entered a dancing competition as their vocals are terrible. It's time to pack singing in when you get out performed in a sing off by the likes of honey g

I actually thought they sang surprisingly well in that slower song last night.

It's not Strictly though or BGT, singing is the most important part.

It was very processed and the BV's were overwhelming the vocal and masking a lot of inadequacies.

I'm not a fan of the original but I thought they sounded really good. I enjoyed theirs the most vocally out of the first set of performances.
