Just read Jake saying that at times the viewers will know more about Max than those around him. How? Phone calls? Counselling sessions?

I can't wait to see how he has changed. You can trust Jake to actually make him act differently - I don't think it's just talk.

![]() We likely see what you said, secret phone calls or meetings if there are secrets to hide or be revealed, Max's isn't going to return all repentant and forgiving despite how it might appear. |

Too many characters return from prison absolutely fine. I hope the effect it had on Max is explored. Maybe Jack can ask questions as being an ex cop, he'd know about the realities of it. |

I fear Max's revenge will be an utter damp squib, just like everything else SOC turns his hand to. It will make the Lucy plot even more farcical if the Beales, Mitchells, and Max coexist just fine on the square.

Matthew Rose's revenge on Steve Owen was the ultimate one. I'd like to see something like that.
Actually, I'd like to see Ian telling Max that he almost jumped off a bridge (that's if even he remembers!!) And then Max saying how he hasn't suffered enough compared to whatever he went through in prison. |

From those 3 lines - a more vulnerable Max, it looks like.

I always think certain characters on EE exagerate when it comes to Max. He's a cheating scumbag who lusts after young girls, has affairs and was happy to throw his neice under a bus, but is he really as bad as people like Ian and Phil. He's a troubled individual who has made tonnes of mistakes, but he's not a sociopath or a psycho like Jane, Phil etc.

I hope he's playing the long game and screws them all over slowly and painfully, maybe culminating in him murdering Bobby in front of Jane and Ian when Bobby is released from jail. Then Denny and Louise in front of Phil and Sharon.

I haven't always liked Max as a character, but Jake has always been one of my favourite actors - his performances are brilliant.

I was expecting Max to say, "Alright, Stace. Merry Christmas. Fancy a quickie?"
Alas, Max must have other things on his mind for once.

I doubt very much that Max has forgiven Ian & Jane- he definately has something up his sleeve.
