Is five years too big an age gap?

I hate to break it to the nice people in these forums but this kind of thread is almost certainly made-up.

The narrative structure, the low post-count and the crucial clue; the soapy moral issue featured.
It's pretty harmless if so, but either way half of the posts on DS are either baity, wumming or trolling. Just look in Politics, it's hilarious.

To repeat, I am not trolling. It is a genuine question.

Because some people care about that. Why can't you just answer the question?

OP, it's barely a difference and I doubt anyone would see it that way. Good luck.
Because I wanted to know why, people had already answered the question and the OP raised that they were bothered about what people thought, I wondered why that was an issue. That OK with you?

When my now husband and I met I was 26 and he was 34. 8 years difference. Not an issue in the slightest.

I'm now 38 and he's 46 and we're still blissfully happy.

A cliche, but age is really just a number.

The age gap with me and my husband is 20 years so five is peanuts, go for it.

Wen I started University at 18 I thought the 3rd yr (never mind the PhD students) were about a million years older than me - after a few years you realise they are not
No, they're always going to be two years older. 😎

My hubby is 17 years older than me. Who gives a hoot?! 5 years is nothing - enjoy yourself
