This exactly Emily has got a softer tone to her voice & that is what made her stand out, I wish her luck in whatever she decides to do.

I also fully encourage other female singers of all races, that are not the typical screechy shouty diva, that wants to be the next Whitney / Hudson / Beyonce / Mariah, as news flash there are already too many screechy shouty divas singing the same old crap.

As always more varied genres needed next season.

She has been ill for a few weeks and I am sure Ryan leaving has caused her some distress. She has a very good voice, a bit limited in what she can sing but she can still sing.

Thank you! someone that feels like me.

Everything about Creep was better than Emily herself on the song, it's not to say that Emily doesn't have any talent whatsoever, it's just that she shouldn't be singing Rock or Indie, her style is more Folk/Country.

On balance, she sings in key mostly. Her range is quite limited for sure, but you don't need a massive range to be a singer. There are other components to it such as phrasing, emotion, musicality. I think she was the weakest this weekend and probably should have left but I don't think it's fair to say that any of them are awful at this stage. 5AM can be shakey on group vocals but mostly sing in key as well.

Exactly, this. Just coz her range isn't huge, doesn't mean she can't sing. Billie Holiday, Lou Reed, Frank Sinatra and Leonard Cohen all had around one octave of range. It's what you do with the range that counts.

I think she's doing the same thing set to different music meaning she's limited& for a winner you have to be able to do different and she cant so unless its a slow number id say I don't think she can sing either
