Wedged my sim into Galaxy s7 edge unable to remove. Doh
Hi all, does anyone know of any shops that would be able to remove my wedged sim card? Cant do it myself and really dont want to send the phone off to the manufactures. Plus I cant be contacted by mobile currently so need a quick solution.

I have used something with a sharp point (like a needle, or the point of a protractor) to 'stab' and pull out tight SIMs.

TBH I am worried about damaging the phone. I purchased it off the shelf. Probably going to have to get one of those shops on the high street to remove the back of the phone and pull the sim out, Thanks for the advice anyway.

How is it wedged? The sim goes into a tray which then goes into the phone.

If the sim tray wont come out with the pin then taking it apart will be the only option.

Mind you from what I've seen of various phones over the years you would really have to use quite a bit of brute force and ignorance to force a SIM card into the slot if it isn't seated properly in the tray. |

To be fair, and if the Edge SIM and micro SD card drawer is like the S7 version, it is pretty flimsy and does not hold the cards securely enough. They can jump out or partly jump out of the drawer as you are pushing it in - it needs a better design - and for that reason I wouldn't recommend anyone to make frequent use of the ability to swap micro SD cards (or SIM cards for that matter). It's a bit too tiny and flimsy.
Mine have only jumped out onto the floor though, not inside the case so far, so I can't help on that. |
