I couldn't listen to his second song yesterday, it was so painful I muted him. Matt is dreadful.

I cannot believe so many people like Saara, she's like a cruise ship entertainer

Oh dear - I have always liked Matt but he has been badly out of tune for a couple of weeks now and tonight was no exception.

I think there is a very good version of Hurt somewhere within that performance, but it needs to be done in the recording studio to smarten it up - a lot.

Another fan of Jamie Afro here.

That's the thing with these shows, everyone has a different perspective. I actually preferred Emily's performance, and technically she did hit more notes than Matt.

Matt was better than Emily.
I've heard SO many good versions of wings before.. that was just average with her weak voice.

It wasn't even close. She destroyed him.

No, it wasn't. In fact, I thought Emily was stronger in the sing-off.

He is awful I really can't stand him, his best performance was I'm your man and tgat was dire

Sara has killed him every week

No chance, he was flat and out of tune for most of the song

He was in the bottom two because his performances weren't as good as the others. He looked very nervous last night, and he wasn't performing the way he can. That said Matt can still win anything can happen on this show.

Agree, and with far more superior vocals too.

Matt being in the bottom 2 can only help him next week honestly, with all his supporters voting for him like crazy to keep him at the top, just like what happened with 5AM, regaining voters after they realized they were in danger. However, Matt really should step it up if he wants to win in a deserving way.

I don't agree. Matt was not good, and yes Emily was more in tune than him, but he made a better connection with the song, and put in a better performance due to energy, dynamic contrast and emotion.

Emily has such a weak voice that she is only able to sing softly, and more softly still. This is very limiting. Song choices have to be so careful for this girl to play to her strengths. She has been criticised all series for not going up tempo, but I have never cared about this. I would have liked her to put in a performance with some kind of climax - but she is not capable of this.

Being completely honest, the whole top 3 is way too overrated. At least Saara keeps it fun and changes it around each week.

I don't get the dislike for Matt on here. I think he has been consistently good but it seems to me that recently he has been set up by being given the wrong songs. He is no longer being promoted as the next big thing.

BIB, I'm not Matt's biggest fan by any means, but the public do not put acts into the bottom two based off performances on the night, hence why Emily, Matt, and 5AM pulled through Disco week despite singing out of tune/miming parts.

That's just one example that I can think of just from this series.

Ergo, she beat him.

They were signing songs, not painting seascapes.

I think it's a combination of fan base + performance + order what decides who lands in the bottom two.

Also, by Disco week there still was Sam, Ryan and even Honey G who performed even worse than them, keeping them off the bottom two, also, Sam's and Ryan's fanbase was a lot smaller than the rest.

By now I get the feeling that most of them have the same fan base level, so that gives a lot more weight voting wise on how they perform.
