This 'loophole news' is ruining what Saara has accomplished.

Now people will think the only reason she got this far is because of her Finnish fans which frankly isn't true since she has a lot of support here which I fear may turn against her because of this 'breaking the rules' garbage.

Keep in mind I'm talking about the general public here who don't go on forums etc

The British press can't stand the thought of a foreigner doing well. It must be down to cheating as far as they are concerned! That's the only way one can beat homegrown British talent like Honey G.

They didn't seem to mind when a foreign act won 'Britains Got Talent' and now all of a sudden its wrong for a foreigner to win X Factor. These people are bonkers!

What "loophole news" is this about?

How many potential Finnish voters would bother setting things up on their phone?

Seemingly some people in Finland have found a way to install the UK X-Factor app, and therefore vote for Saara.

But it would only be a dedicated few, who know their way round the internet and VPNs or proxy servers etc.

Many actually. This is a big deal for Finland and they will do everything to help her out as as they feel like she's representing Finland not just herself. Finnish tabloids actually posted ilthe voting instructions some weeks ago...
big bang theory

If Philipines (excuse my spelling) couldn't get 4th Impact to the final last year what on earth then makes anybody think that Finland has single-handedly helped Saara this year?

Yes, but she's a gay foreigner. The Daily Fail and Sun can't possibly have that!

I've got no idea what you are talking about and what "loophole news" is, but you can't vote from Finland so I don't see what the fuss is about. She's got this far because despite the odds there are people that recognise she has talent. There are others who realise that she is the only contestant left that we can vote for just to disappoint the Cowell and producers who clearly want Matt or 5AM to win.

...but there is going to be a "gay" winner whichever way it goes. Matt's been rumoured, as has one of the lads in 5AM and Saara is openly gay.

So are the media going to demand a recount of the votes so that Honey G wins?

Talent prevails. Sexuality shouldn't be an issue. God forbid what these journalists would've been like in the 80s with Culture Club, Soft Cell, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Erasure, Queen, Elton John and countless other openly gay singers (whether solo or as lead singer) ruling the charts.

I blame Donald Trump!!!

This is a sad and predictable attempt to try and stop Saara winning.

I am really dissapointed with the article, and more so the timing of the article. I question the motive behind why this has been done? However it has put an element of doubt in peoples minds when they vote, theirs no question about that and i feel sorry for Saara. I also do wonder if and maybe i am being suspicious wether this has been done with a little bit of help from those from the X Factor production team.

If Saara doesnt win it wont be because of her voice, it will be down to this article,.

Is this story in The Sun for sure???
If so my opinion is that Matt is still TCO as The Sun only print XF stories with XF's permission.

^this.

people from "small" countries (whether geographically or economically) tend to be more supportive of each other and proud of their own people gaining international success.

Though even I who as a Finn joined this forum to follow this series due to Saara haven't bothered to set up my phone to vote. You have to be a pretty hardcore fan to actually do it, so I would be very surprised if non-UK votes would account for any sort of significant amount of the total votes cast.

Finns in general are not that keen on breaking rules, which I think lowers the total amount of willing 'hackers' considerably. I would guess Finnish votes to be less than 1% of the total vote.

Hopefully this rubbish article doesn't put anyone off voting for Saara. It would be a travesty if she lost because of stupid stories like this. It's hardly Saara's fault if a few Finns try to vote.

I believe the show has said those votes wouldn't count anyway.

Bottom line, she deserves to win and that's all that matters.

As Arthur says above, this does seem like a sad attempt to stop Saara winning. She will need her fans to vote more than ever this weekend.

The article is pathetic, Saara will need votes on Saturday, especially with the girls and teeny boppers that will be out in force. They come to life in the final and vanish again after.

It's a pointless article as it says an X Factor spokesman has said it's been investigated and no loophole has been found.
