Trump on twitter, unbelievable!
Anyone would think the guy is some sort of petulant teen, twittering his opinions about China across the world. It's embarrassing, and to think he is soon to be in charge of the most powerful country of the world.
You would think he was playing some sort of game, not getting ready for Presidency.Someone take his damn phone away, this is no way to behave or to conduct foreign affairs. Decades of conflict avoiding diplomacy could go in a single stupid tweet I fear for the world, I really do.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-china-3816702 |

It is scarily fascinating to watch isn't it! He's still as it were an ordinary citizen so presumably out of control of the political establishment. It'll be interesting to see whether this continues once he assumes the presidency. Oh well. This is what democracy is all about. The electorate must be free to make mistakes and to learn that their votes have consequences.

Taking his phone away will not solve much, as he can log in to Twitter via other devices.

'Diplomacy' by Twitter seems to be his thing. Personally I don't think it is in any way a good thing.

No American can complain that this was unexpected though. He's just carrying on as he did during the campaign.
If it all ends in tears they only have themselves to blame. |

Trump is putting America first which is what he was elected to do. As bad as you think he is, he's IMO infinity preferable to Clinton. If you want to see what America domestically would have looked like under Clinton, look no further then Canada.
Actions would speak far more than a petulant rant on twitter. |

All politicians are on social media nowadays. It's the best way to reach the youth but in general, it's a better place to express your views. Radio and TV are now obsolete when it comes to politics and news , as people more follow things online. The reason for that is that Internet is more convenient, but mainly because mainstream media is biased and often tell lies and propaganda. Internet is more open and people post things themselves.

Do you think this is also the case when it comes to the UK's plans for leaving the EU?

I'm all for freedom on expression for ordinary people on the internet, but not for a president who could literally destabilise the whole world with the potential to cause suffering and devastation to millions. He doesn't seem to grasp the importance of his role at all.

Don't worry, it's all the American agenda. Americans are restarting their policies and Trump is just the executor. He is doing none of this on his own. He is being instructed what to do from the higher instances of power. |

I think it's great. I hope he keeps tweeting when he's in the White House.

Technically, isn't he still an "ordinary person" until he gets sworn in? So he isn't the President just yet, that would still be Obama, so isn't he allowed an opinion as an "ordinary person" at this stage?
