Last year at this stage Helen went and her leaving left a huge hole in the last couple of weeks.

It wasn't the same he isn't as good a dancer as her, but I suspect the next 2 weeks shows will absolutely feel deflated with him gone.

Sometimes it is an undefinable quality that dancers bring to the show that others only really notice when they have gone.

I loved him and he got my vote every week. He is a Barrister has handled some very serious cases in his career.

I shall now vote for Danny every week.

I think some people think it's cool to be uninformed about something / someone (or pretend to be). Otherwise, as has been said, if you're genuinely curious, it takes a moment to Google and whether the info is here or on Wiki, it takes the same amount of time to read. On Wiki the information is already there; on here, the expectation is that someone will go to the effort to type out the info for you. Or provide a link, in which case...

DJ Spoony and Goldie appeared as DJ Spoony and Goldie ... Sometimes the celebs public moniker is more appropriate for use than their real name otherwise they might need to be announced as Johnathan Joseph also known as DJ Spoony and DJ for Kiss 100; DJ to used twice so people known the DJ is not just initials ... Seems a bit unnecessary.

At this stage, it's anyone but Louise (and Kevin...)

I'm beginning to feel this way myself and I have loved Kevin in the past. I don't enjoy the partnership or their routines.

yep..
and as for him going out 'at last', who the flipping heck was any better than him who has gone? None of them were gonna win...and the same thing applies to Ed Balls, whose fun and entertainment value was sadly missed on saturday.

I loved Rob Rinder ... his joy of dancing was totally infectious. I still watch his jive and paso when I'm feeling down and need a lift. Not the best technically for sure, but he knew that well enough, and his gracious leaving speech was obviously well prepared.

For those who didn't take to his personality, he was clearly well liked by the other contestants, who said how kind he was and how he always had time for them. I also warmed to the way he'd kiss Oksana ... none of the cheek bumps that most contestants do in case anyone starts rumours about the Strictly Curse.

He gave Oksana a great start in Strictly, and I hope she's back next year. He's also raised his own profile, so sadly for the Rinder haters, we'll be seeing a lot more of him on TV ... you can turn over

As far as I am aware you do not "qualify" as a judge in the UK, you are appointed to various positions as a judge. He is a barrister and admits himself that he is not a judge.

I found him very irritating with his gurning and interrupting people. I suppose I might see him appear with the others at the final but hopefully will never see him again.

I've never liked watching him dance and frankly I'm amazed he's remained in it for so long. To be honest I'm still not really sure who he is; surely not a real judge? With a name like 'Judge Rinder' he sounds more like a rap artist, except I think he's probably far too 'gentle' to be one of those!

Now we're closing in on the final rounds, I'd really like to see one of the girls win the glitter ball, but with all the fawning over Danny that goes on every week I think they'll have a job to stop him.”

It's those pea-brains running SCD that saddled him with that ludicrous name . Although he did well for a genuine beginner I could never take to him . Those ridiculous faces he pulled was very off-putting and he gave off a vibe of loving himself too much during his dances .

I have rather mixed feelings about Rob Rinder - hated his gurning and his ott way of dancing, every move over exagerated. BUT his first dance blew me away - I really wasn't expecting that! He threw himself into SCD with enormous gusto, and no one should complain about his enthusiasm, but I am, just a little - I didn't enjoy his exagerated moves , he needed more 'flow' and softness for me to have really been behind him. I really don't mind not watching him again.

'limp wrist action' - carefully there dude you're making yourself possibly look worse than you intend

He is the judge in a TV show overseeing civil cases where the public choose to go on the show instead of going to a court. His judgements are just as binding as they would be in a civil court. In real life, he's a practising criminal barrister and not a civil law judge.

The title of the show was decided by ITV, and Strictly just used that show title for him because that's how people know him rather than as Robert Rinder. He doesn't "use it to promote himself" - he's been stuck with it as a result of his show.

I thought I'd gone back in time to 1974 when I read this thread.

I loved him and he got all my votes every week, I won't bother voting again now he's gone.

I'd never heard of him before the start of strictly.

I really liked him he was a sincere man who just loved to learn how to dance. The show will be less fun without him.

Agreed totally - I'll be doing a best dance of each type of the series and he's getting the paso award - he danced to music that didn't suit that he hated, dressed as a ruddy butterfly and still managed to be better than anyone else IMO.
