Chelsea away if we can beat Peterborough in our replay. Would love that, still have fond memories of our League Cup tie there when Ranieri was Chelsea manager. Roman had just bought Chelsea back then in 2003

Please, no, the cup has been messed around with enough over the years as it is, don't damage it any further.

It maybe against FA Cup principles but I always think that PL teams should be seeded for the 3rd round to avoid each other or perhaps join in the 4th round instead.

It was a very uninspiring draw.
What time and channel was this on? I set it to record on BBC2 as it was listed but it wasn't on. When Millwall V Bournemouth and Bolton V Crystal Palace are two of three most attractive looking ties, it isn't one to look forward to, although a couple of shocks recently have had P.L sides at home. |

I can't see either of those two matches being on TV unfortunately
Man Utd will be on obviously and for all rounds. Arsenal will probably be the second pick and Man City V West Ham the third, so on different channels. Hard to predict the two others, they will probably go with Everton V Leicester and one of Chelsea or Liverpool. |

I was almost right, although six games are on. Good guess from the OP to go for Leeds.
But the Liverpool and Tottenham games are dreadful choiices. Any of the Norwich, Millwall, Everton or Bolton matches look much more watchable. But there are 31 ties which look more appealing than Man Utd V Reading which has a 1-0 written all over it. Does anybody know when was the last FA Cup match that Manchester United played in, that was not shown live on TV? |

The Reading fixture will make it 55 games in a row on TV in this competition. |

Broadcasters need as many viewers as possible.
United pull in the most viewers. It's a no-brainer. The same would happen with the Premier League, if it was up to the broadcasters. |

With the likes of United and Liverpool you have the biggest supporter bases in the country, plus the countless others who can't stand one or both of them and will tune in in the hope they get beat.
You only have to look at some of the threads on here for evidence of that. |
