An hour and a half examining the circumstances, should be interesting.

Good to know that "crews" aren't the same as "gangs". At least according to the "community leader".

Voice over just explained it a bit better perhaps. A "crew" is a group of friends. A "gang" is a group of people together for criminal reasons.

Yeah it's just a word at the end of the day. It will mean different things in different communities.

What I meant was the word "gang" might mean one thing in a Norfolk village and another in a Tottenham council estate. Different areas have different social make ups and so terms for groups of people might differ. That's all I meant really.

Indeed. I hoped it might be a neutral documentary but it doesn't seem to be (yet).

The dictionary has different meanings nothing to do with communities.

None of whatever happened justifies the riots that followed

I wouldn't trust the police as far as I could spit but I'm not about to shed any tears over the death of that lowlife, lawful or otherwise.

The firearms officers have an incredibly difficult job to make split second decisions about a potential threat to life in such chaotic situations.

What was he guilty of? Other than taking possession of a gun? Just looking for the death sentence crime here.

Yes. He was no angel but I think they tried harder than they should have to to make the evidence warrant their actions which is worse than an error of judgement in my opinion.

Their 'intelligence' was spot on as well, who was that coming from and why weren't they after the big man?

I agree, and it seems it was the wrong call. They should have 'held their hands up' instead of trying to cover it up and allowing the media to misreport on the circumstances.
