I've looked in this forum, Reality and Music and I can't find a mention of the programme. Am I missing something?

I loved it and feel happy for him that he's finally found his way. He's such an entertainer.

Surprised too that there was no thread. Great show and Robbie is an icon.

I'm 68 and I loved it. The whole TT story is a triumph over life's ups and downs. It fascinates me, anyway. Love seeing how Robbie pulled himself up by his bootstraps and made a good life for himself and his family. He has my respect. Would've loved to have seen Jason there as well.

I also thought it was brilliant and going to watch it again in a few days on catch up.
He now seems so happy with his wife and kids and still knows how to put on a good show.

And who decide Robbie Williams is an icon? FFS, trying to overstate a pop stars significance or what.

I assume Williams is running short of money as he's talking about another reunion with Take That according to The Sun.

I doubt it, he will make a lot from his own tour next year

Surely there are more deserving artists that should be honoured before Robbie Williams.

I'm watching it at the moment, loving it. As an artist who has won many Brits then he is a Brit icon. I don't think they are saying anything but that although I would say he's more than just a Brit icon anyway.

No one else has as many Brits as him is the premise so unless anyone else has more then he is most deserving of the title.

The Brit Awards are, and always have been, an exercise in self congratulations by the music industry suits..

They are absolute nonsense. A joke.

Me too Robbie may not be best singer in the world but he knows how to put on a show and what songs people want to hear. That's a talent in itself.

The only other two artists to have been awarded the Brit icon accolade are Elton John and David Bowie. Robbie Williams is nowhere near their league. Many far more deserving people out there.

It was judged on how many Brits he got, that makes him most deserving, I can't see why anyone does get that it was said several times during the show.

Overrated and untalented, perfect fit for ITV.

Righto. I didn't watch it. I'm afraid I have never understood Robbie's appeal. I was a teenager in the early 1990's when Take That were a thing but I was into alternative music by then.

Love your username.

Why not take a look? I'm into my seventies now but I don't want charity people singing old peoples' care home songs to me.

I'm not there yet. Rod Stewart and The Stones are around my age.

And yet he's incredibly popular, just your opinion, doesn't make it fact. My husband, who's not a fan, said after the show that he was quite impressed. He's a great entertainer.

He isn't very popular anymore.

Not since he split with Chambers all those years ago.
