Not the biggest Robbie fan, by any stretch, but did end up going to the Troxy show, and watching it from last week. I felt it was an awesome show, more or less squeezing a stadium production into a medium sized theatre.
While he's not the best singer, he does have this uncanny ability to connect. And, presumably, after the last couple of albums were relative flops, he and Sony Music Entertainment have clearly decided that it's time to remobilise the machine in full - hence the big stadium tour and the non-stop media whoring that Robbie's doing. And I actually quite like this album... |
