Adam is a different calibre to anyone that has ever been a contestant on XFactor, I hope Saara doesn't drown in the background, really looking forward to seeing him

Well, quite - anyone who is really looking for 'cool and edgy' probably wouldn't be looking for it in the XF in the first place. Most of the audience will think that Adam Lambert is quite cool and edgy ... I mean a lot of the audience would prefer a Micheal Buble duet to Drake

I wasn't really looking forward to the final this year to be honest - not keen on Matt or 5AM at all and I don't think Saara will win. But now I can't wait since hearing that Adam Lambert will be on.

I love him - he is the best talent show contestant ever and it was a joke when he didn't win on American Idol. Saara must be thrilled to be singing with him.

I don't care if he is cool or not - he is a great singer and will make the show worth watching.

Saara has a history of coming second in Finland and Adam came second in AI. Hope it's not a sign.

Saara should definitely win XF but you could have said the same for Adam in AI. Unfortunately he didn't get the votes on the night. I hope Saara's fans aren't complacent now she's the bookies favourite and vote more than ever this weekend.

Can't wait for Saara's duet with Adam. Two amazing singers / performers.

Or maybe hope it is a sign? Historically in Finnish talent shows coming second was the real win - to the point that Idols (local version of Pop Idol) contestants openly admitted at the finals or semi-finals that they don't want to win.

I don't know what the success stats are for winners vs other contestants for X Factor or American Idol, but plenty of successful acts have been runner ups too.

To me, James sings like he's in pain and I can't see his voice complementing Matts.

This is true and I'm sure she has an amazing career ahead of her whatever the result but she deserves to win and I'd love to see her reaction if she did.

I didn't know who the weekend were so I looked em up on You Tube. Dear god how awful! Dreadful people!

But winning isn't always the best thing though, that was my point. It's not just that the contestants thought they can still manage without the win, but that they actively knew it was better for their careers to NOT win. The winner is contractually obliged to sign with Syco, and while Sydo retains the exclusive right to sign all finalists if they want, they don't always offer a deal to everyone. And Syco just isn't the best label for everyone, runners up can approach other labels that are more suitable, and retain more creative control over their careers.

All this talk about people not knowing Adam Lambert is a bit silly. He performed with Queen at the New Year's Eve show the other year which was watched by around 10 million viewers. It's not like he's a nobody.

I agree. I loved him on AI and gave seen him live with Queen and he's an amazing vocalist. Looking forward to his duet with Saara

I think it's not so much that people don't know who he is. Of course they do. It's just he's less known in British music culture. That's not to take away anything from what Adam has done and achieced. Personally I think he's terrific and I am no fan of James Arthur, believe me, but among those living in the U.K. not only is james familiar with X factor viewers but also generally with brits. He's has a huge hit this year 2016 has also been a massive year for the weekend and they will be familiar with the younger viewers who watch this show.

All that said I do think of all the duets, it's this one that has the most potential and I think st the very crux, it's this that will have the voting pull not neccassarily the partner themselves.

I LOVE Queen, and Who Wants to Live Forever, and I think saara and Adam could put on a really memorable performance with it. It's such an incredible song, doing it well will send chills down everyone watching.

It's possible Queen, or Brian May at least, might join Adam and Saara on stage- and they are fairly well known.

He's not to my taste musically but I thought he was robbed blind on AI. He was so far and away the best act that series, it wasn't even a contest. And yet our friends across the pond seemed to prefer some bland, wholesome, good old God-fearing WGWG to the flamboyant, theatrical openly gay man for some reason

I think he's a great duet choice for Saara and I imagine an absolutely storming performance that will steal the show

There's a difference between someone being cool and popular. Katy Perry is popular but she isn't cool (for instance). Edgy, isn't really a thing in underground audiences but in popular music I think audiences have become a lot more comfortable with underground influences (look at the rise of Diplo for instance). Converesly Adam's music falls into the Kelly Clarkson/Pink/Mother's Day gift category (not that there's anything wrong with those artists or music types).

If you took the time to read my post before wearing out the exclamation point on your keyboard, you might have noted that I said it likely doesn't matter. I recognise I'm coming from a mid-twenties, postgrad sort of peer group so my music taste will be partially connected to that. I also said that he's talented and seems nice. No offense to him intended, he's just cheesey but, like you said, for a lot of the audience that will be just fine.

If that is the song, I wonder which song she will reprise the two that spring to mind are
