Imagine FM this morning reported a story where 52% of people surveyed were willing to see Christmas abolished. This was of course the same proportion of people who wanted our EU membership abolished. The difference is that Brexit is for life, not just for Christmas.

i voted for brexit and im NOT right wing...
I don't think I am either. But clearly we are mistaken. According to the established paradigm we are right wing bigots who are just too old, too stupid and too racist to ever have been allowed to vote.

In the USA there is discussion that Santa should be banned from public buildings as he's too religious.

A hospital in Oz has banned Santa from handing out presents to children.

I find it funny how all these people who tell us Christmas has been "banned" are never able to tell them what they're not able to do now that they couldn't do before. Where are decorations "banned"- they still semme to be in every town and city across the country? Where can you not say "Merry Christmas"? etc.

It must have been about 11 years ago I remember a colleague from where I worked at the time moaning how PC madness was forcing people to say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas. This was after he watched some US reality show where they were continually using the term. Trying to explain to him that Americans have always used this term to include all the Christmas holiday was hard work.

The PC Brigade came round my street in their special vans and pulled down any christmas lights that people had put up, smashed them on the ground and issued fines for those of us who are not disabled greek lesbian refugees.

So if that counts as banning, then yes.
