If Danny and Louise were in the bottom 2, who do you think the judges would vote for? I think they would have a difficult choice as I think they want them both in the final.

I'd hope they'd keep whichever danced best in the D/O, as they both have their strengths and weaknesses, and both have lots to offer.
And I'm a Danny fan!

I think they want them both in the final, but if it came down to it and the dances were much of a muchness, I think they would put Louise through. I think it would probably be Craig and Darcy for Danny and Len and Bruno for Louise. Although Danny is a much more confident performer, they could justify it on the basis of technique/footwork if they wanted to. I think it would make for an even duller final, but they did it with the Pixie/Simon DO when he had already been in a couple of dance offs.

I'm hoping for Danny and Louise in the bottom 2 as my favourite is Claudia and AJ who I think are undermarked. Their Salsa was brilliant. Seems to me that is the only way they'll get into the final.

They'd go cross-eyed and start foaming at the mouth

Danny... and they all cry blood.

I don't think it is possible to predict. I think it would genuinely depend on how they danced. Sorry if that thought is too controversial!

Hahaha

I think they really want Louise in the final but if push comes to shove they wouldn't be stupid to send Danny packing, they would send Louise.

As someone said they can justify whatever they want. I have a feeling they just like Louise more as a person. As last year when Katie beat Anita in the dance off - I hope I agree with the decision based purely on the dance off. (Although as I have said previously, the judges shouldn't have a say on who gets to be the final three.)

Taking it week by week, so far :

Week 2 : Viennese Waltz vs Viennese Waltz - probable win for Louise
Week 3 : Paso Doble vs Cha Cha - definite win for Danny
Week 4 : Quickstep vs Foxtrot - definite win for Danny
Week 5 : Rumba vs Rumba - probable win for Danny
Week 6 : Foxtrot vs Charleston - toss-up (Louise better "on the night" but Danny "could have got a 10 from Craig" if not for mistakes that could have been corrected in the dance-off)
Week 7 : Jive vs Argentine Tango - probable win for Louise
Week 8 : Argentine Tango vs American Smooth - probable win for Danny
Week 9 : Charleston vs Paso Doble - definite win for Danny (I can't see them sending home a "40 dance")
Week 10 : Samba vs Waltz - definite win for Danny (ditto)
Week 11 : Tango vs Quickstep - toss-up (more identifiable technical problems with Danny's dance but they could be fixed - there's no changing the choreography that Len had a problem with in the quickstep)

Looking at that I'd give the advantage overall to Danny, but it's not a sure thing.

Whoever danced better, I think.

Think they've rated Danny higher than Louise most weeks so if it came down to there not being anything between them in the dance off, I think they'd vote for Danny overall.

Should that eventuality present itself I'd imagine the producers would, err, 'accidentally' miscount some viewer votes so that only one of the pairs was in the dance off and then they could send 'guidance' to the judges voting to put the other pair through.

Precisely Ann!

This would be one of the FEW times when the decision would be "based on this dance and this dance alone".

My guess would be Louise - based on a split vote with Len having the deciding one.

However, I don't think they will both end up in the DO this week end. It is possible, just, that one of them might end up there, but if they do, they whichever one it is, would be saved over Ore or Claudia.

My guess would also be Louise, but it would depend on the dance and their original scoring for it.

Definitely Louise.

I'm a bit confused, Danny gets two sets of perfect 40s, then gets 10s for a fundamentally flawed Tango - but the judges prefer Louise?

I know - very confusing

People seem, not just on this thread, to tie themselves in knots to argue that Louise is more of a favourite than Danny.

I can't see any evidence at all for that.

There is of course the matter of the Cha-Cha-Challenge, but on balance I can't see an inclination towards Louise over Danny.

It just reminds me of the Pixie situation - she always scored higher than Simon and most people thought she would beat anyone in a dance off, then she got sent home. I know it sounds weird, but I don't think the ones the judges give 40s to are always the ones they want to win (although maybe I just choose to believe that because I don't want to think they actually thought Pamela was a better dancer than Kara ). I don't mean it as a Clifton favouritism thing either, I just think the judges generally like Louise better than Danny and there's a bit of a weird thing around ITT (and other shows where they discuss Strictly) of no one wanting Danny to win because he's dismissed as starting too good.

And even with that, it's often acknowledged that Louise is a very good technician.

But could that not be because certain people are simply of that opinion? There seems to be no bias from Zoe, who always talks favourably of Danny - and tries to steer away from any negativity towards any of the contestants.

If a couple of celebs wanted to come on and say Louise is dull or whatever, I'm sure it wouldn't be treated with the same suspicion

ETA - I do get it though, but I think things like that are very subjective i.e a general "feeling" that there is negativity - and people will be more perceptive if things are said about their favourite. I am definitely guilty of it on many occasions.

I have seen the ballroom/latin ladies frequently compliment her on her technique and attention to detail

Danny getting 10s for a " flawed tango ". Claudia got 4 9s for THAT jive. Louise got 10s with a flawed waltz with a lift in......point is they have ALL been overmarked at one point or another during this series.

So you think that Louise deserved all the marks she got for her dances.
39 for a Waltz with an illegal lift and raised shoulders.
39 For an AT, with not much content
It's also easy for a female to be lead and placed by a male pro than vice a versa.

I think Louise will top the Leaderboard this Saturday, can't see being in the bottom,
but Danny and Louise be in the bottom two, judges will save Louise.

So how is Louise being "overmarked" on the Cha-Cha-Challenge any different?

Exactly

Unless there is more overt "favouritism" than that
