Further evidence that there is no plan at all regarding exiting the EU. Theresa May is just stringing together words but saying **** all.

Let's be real - whoever took the job on it was always going to be a futile task. Quite frankly it's just another reminder of how utterly pointless and costly this whole exercise is.
I hate to point out that if you are about to enter into negotiations you don't show your hand at least four months before they Start.

France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Czechia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia will be delighted.
And Putin.

There's also the argument that if both sides know the negotiating positions of the other side then you end up with a deal that both sides like

If you want a successful negotiation, You let the other party know what you want as far in advance as possible, as does the other side. Then you work to a compromise where both sides feel like winners.

Brexiteers have certainly swallowed that line wholesale. It's just camouflage to hide the "we haven't a clue what to do". It's not a game of poker and we know what Mrs May would really like if it were possible; free trade with the EU with no payment and with no freedom of movement. Trouble is Mrs May is going to look very foolish if she publicises a shopping list of "wants" and doesn't get anything. Added to which, the three Brexiteers can't agree on exactly what they want anyway.

Another few weeks time I expect her answer to any journalist who asks what her Brexit plans are will just be finger jabbed at them and 'En gur land, En gur land, En gur land ............if you all hate Krauts clap your hands'.......... and Theresa walks off doing the 'dive bomber' dance and whistling the Dambusters theme

As sound bites go this is a rubbish one. At least Blair and Cameron could make sound bites sound good, even if they meant nothing, this one doesn't even sound good. It almost even sounds treasonous - red, white and blue are the colours of France. And Russia.

Theresa May’s Brexit strategy

"Brexit means Brexit"

"We are not going to give a running commentary"

"We don’t want to give away our negotiating position"

"I’m keeping my cards close to my chest"

"We want a red white and blue Brexit"

"I’ve been very clear about this"

I would not wish to be a member of any club that would have you as a member.

With apologies to Groucho.
Eh, we're on the same side as far as May and the Three Brexiteers are concerned. In fact I wonder whether she was thinking Three Brexiteers and French flag, that's red, white and blue.

Oh and I can get you either an associate or an honorary membership.

What the hell does that even mean?

She is utterly out of her depth and getting an easy ride from the media.

Has this country ever had two such appalling leaders of our main two parties as we have at the moment?

A very easy ride : the press have been busy attacking the EU, high court judges, Gina Miller, the opposition and anyone else they perceive to be trying to block Brexit and letting May off virtually scott free.

I dare say that ALL current party leaders fall into the appalling category. And that includes Lib-Dems, UKIP, and SNP.

Despite the u turn over publishing brexit details being clearly nothing more than a humiliating climb down to avoid losing the commons vote, some of the press are still trying to make it out as a victory for may.

E.g headline from the telegraph:
"Theresa May calls bluff of Europhile MPs over Brexit with Commons vote"

They somewhat bizarrely have May down as a 'Brexit Prime Minister' despite the fact that she and her party opposed it. It's a very strange period in British politics.

It's rather odd that some of the very people constantly using this excuse are also the very same people who demand to know what the general election manifesto commitments of the Labour party will be several years ahead of the next election.

This is not a general election it has far more longer term implications than something so comparatively insignificant as the next government, the results of the brexit negotiations will impact on this country and it's people for the rest of this century and beyond.

It is not a bloody card game, we are talking about something which will impact the lives of the people of this country for many generations to come.

I find the sheer audacity and arrogance of May and her handful of cohorts staggering,
Just who the HELL does she think she is?

The public and their elected representatives have every right to ask to be informed as to what direction she intends to take OUR country in, no one has asked for a "running commentary" although I personally don't see why the people should not be kept informed about her plans for our future.

The response/s from May to these perfectly reasonable questions (in a democracy) leads me (and plenty of others) to conclude that the truth is that she doesn't have a clue, and is clearly out of her depth.

I bet the Camerons are RIGHT off her Christmas card list.

^ pretty much this. I voted remain, not because I'm in love with the EU, or that I cannot be convinced that we could be better off out. But because the whole thing was a farce... being done without a clue, without a plan, and for the wrong reasons (ideological rather than with the countries best interests at heart).

What we had was working, not without its problems (most of which caused by government policy and social issues rather than the EU). But it could have been much worse and I fear that voting to leave will show us what the worse could look like.
I very much agreed with Corbyn on the EU, it is far from perfect I don't think anyone claimed it was, but it would have been better to stay within forming alliances with other left of centre governments to change it from within,
yes it would have been slow, some people seem to think such things can happen quickly, something like the joining of many nations into one would and will take hundreds of years not tens, people expect to see things like this happen within their lifetimes 80-100 years is a very short space of time.

But I still (and always will( strongly believe that the human race uniting is our destiny the opposite is extinction,

I want a 'running commentary' - she is accountable in this democracy and has a fundamental obligation to keep 100% of the electorate informed, as this disaster unfolds on a daily basis.

These latest words are simple proof that she has no idea how to communicate with the 48%, let alone the 100%.

'Red white and blue Brexit'

How vomitous. Sounds like something off a war propaganda poster.

This is what the inside of her brain looks like of course - a fusty compendium of union jacks, ration books and a grammar school hockey stick.
