Girlfriends and porn
I still have a large selection of girlie mags in my flat. I was thinking today that if a woman lived with wanted me to get rid of them, I probably wouldn't. I'd keep them and let her go.
If it came down to a choice would you choose porn over your girlfriend? |

I'd make a papier mache sex doll from the porn. Best of both worlds.
...just with wallpaper paste. Don't be so disgusting. How could you even think that? |

Stash them away where she can't find them just in case.
Remember girlfriends may dump you, but porn never will. |

Do what Tony did in Men Behaving Badly, hide them in a guitar.

Is it possible to hide something from a woman?
If that happened to me, I'd be asking myself: a) Why did she lie to me? b) Why is this stuff so important to her? c) What does she get from that stuff that I don't give her? d) What else has she lied to me about? |

![]() At the risk of sounding horribly naive, why would you want a jazz mag if you had the real thing ? |

I'm sure the local teenage population will enjoy learning the ancient art of finding hedge porn.

As others have said, once you are in love with the girl, you won't feel the need for the magazines. So when a girl comes round to your place first of all, hide the magazines in a locked wardrobe - if she stays the night, say you left the key somewhere else... If the romance looks serious, then as others have said, you won't need the magazines, and can recycle them...
Girls have similar desires to men, but they feel physically attracted to men in different ways. They will notice when you are out together that you look at girls, and equally they will flirt with men. So as a loving and understanding man, you will accept that your girl will flirt, but also if you do the same with another girl, be prepared to "back off" if your girl disapproves. Single men need to satisfy themselves physically because of prostate cancer. It's the most common form of cancer in men, and the third most common form of cancer in western society. It is important that the system is flushed out regularly, to reduce prostate cancer risk, either by yourself or as part of a loving relationship with a partner. One guy I know hid his magazines in the boot of his car... then one day the police stopped cars for a routine check and searched his car.... so go with the locked wardrobe idea... |

I'd keep them locked in the cellar, then I could look at my porn mags upstairs whenever I liked

I am a woman with a long-term partner, and if he had a stash of porn magazines I wouldn't care. It's up to him, and it's not harming me - same as if he watches porn, I don't care. As long as it doesn't interfere with our relationship, what he has as a "hobby" (for lack of a better word) is up to him!
For the record he doesn't have a stash of magazines (that I know of), and doesn't actively watch porn - only on occasion.

Personally I find it strange that people can have such hang ups about their partner using porn. Granted if my boyfriend was more interested in watching porn and going it alone then being intimate with me I would have a word, but just watching it or using it when I'm not around, isn't an issue for me.
However OP if a future girlfriend did ask that of you, you need to be honest about whether its something you will do or not, because as soon as you lie or hide it, it becomes a much bigger issue. |

Don't give it a thought, its not like you have a collection that goes back years and years right? Don't bother trying to hide them, let her see them, she might find them interesting and page through them for the interesting articles, after all isn't that why you read them - for the articles!

Just be open about using porn from the outset and if its that much of a barrier heh ho. At the end of the day most women dont want to have sex with the frequency a man does so whether you are both in love is irrelevant men will still want to masturbate occasionally

Or join the 21st century and download your porn to a tiny USB stick. All free and in high quality (usually)
A former girlfriend didn't like porn so I copied it from my computer to a memory stick. She was happy, I was happy and it was hidden in plain sight with the backup usb sticks and installation CDs so no worries about things being hidden at the back of drawers! |
