If it came down to a choice would you choose porn over your girlfriend?”

You have a tug over OK! and Take a break?

“Men who are very sexually active in their twenties and thirties are more likely to develop prostate cancer, especially if they masturbate frequently, according to a study of more than 800 men.

However the UK research team also found that frequent sexual activity in a man’s forties appears to have little effect and even small levels of activity in a man’s fifties could offer protection from the disease. Most of the differences were attributed to masturbation rather than sexual intercourse.”

The correlation is believed to be due to hormone level both effecting sex drive and prostate cancer risk.

I think the moral of the story is that you want a girlfriend who is relatively open minded when it pertains porn, masterbation, sex. Possibly in that order D

Answer = do not enter a relationship with a woman with a less enlightened attitude.

I don't think there is any evidence for this. Semen is simply remanufactured. Can you provide, as it were, a source?

I see a poster above has pointed out the reverse correlation, but there seems to be no causative effect.

Almost every post on this thread presumes that a girlfriend would have a problem with porn collections

why would she?

edit - actually reading back it seems to be men that think women would automatically have a probem despite several women saying they don't care

My husband and I both watch porn together and have done on our own. If anything it enhances our relationship. Any open minded person would be ok with it I'd have thought

I'm another woman who doesn't care if my OH has a secret tug every now and then.

As long as it doesn't impact on our love life it really doesn't bother me and he knows this.

It's probably the inbuilt guilt complex that makes men assume their significant others surely must have a problem with it

I'd love to watch the look of sheer confusion on some men's faces when confronted with a woman who tells them it's ok to watch it ..

Scan them and put them on your computer/laptop in a hidden drive.

So it doesnt have to be secret.

What if it was over one of your female friends.

Not literally of course.

I don't have or want a porn collection, but if a new girlfriend started saying what I can or can't do then it would be goodbye. If we'd been together a while, well of course I'd take her thoughts into account more.

Back around 2000 when I was in my early 20s I had a girlfriend who got very upset when she discovered I'd been looking at porn online. She was crying at work over it. It made her feel insecure, she felt like she couldn't compete with these women in the looks department, that it was almost like cheating and a sign that I'd be interested in cheating on her.

Aye. She wasn't very experienced when it came to relationships (nor was I) and I think that played a part in her reaction. Still, I wasn't expecting that.

I have images of him pushing a USB stick into his pile of magazines and shouting 'download, download!".
