The show has had its day now
It seems to be very formulaic and stale and every year it's nearly the same thing but with different people. I have a feeling this year or maybe next year might be the end of it. It's had a good long run (14 years) but these shows eventually reach a saturation point. Anyone else think the same way?

I think that altering of the original format is what's made me, bored with the show. Watching a reality tv star win every year via deliberate editing is a snorefest.
There isn't much point in celebs being in the jungle at all, now. Might as well just put them in a studio and pour bugs on them whilst giving one reality celeb hours of camera time telling us what we're watching. They could liven up the whole show by making it less predictable. They won't though if they're getting good viewing figures. |

The only way I watch it is by recording and fast-forwarding. I only watched one trial (the celebrity cyclone) as all the others were same old, same old ad nauseum. zzzzzz

This year for me was a nice return to basics in terms of the line-up but tainted by the really off-putting push for the winner.
If the producers take what was good about this year (a decent line-up of, for the most part, genuinely interesting people, in there for the jungle experience) and accept the entirely valid criticism of where they went wrong (the wholly unnecessary and seriously off-putting pro-favourite edit), then there's still the potential for plenty of feel-good entertainment to be had from the show. |

ITV said this year's final was the most-watched since 2013, when an average of 10.9 million and a peak of almost 12 million tuned in to see former Westlife star Kian Egan win.

Ally Ross in The Sun today summed up the series brilliantly. Apparently Scarlett was in the bush telegraph 104 times during the series - it seems like more than that.
If you get a chance to read it, its well worth it. |

however, there was a real sense of 'meh' about this series.. another reality- 'geordie girl' winner..zzz the trials were a bore...they walked through them ,apart from adam squealing in the first one. They had it WAY too easy! even ant and dec were laboured....... and the camp 'mix' was just too brady-bunch....only martin threatened to create a stir and even he disappeared at the end. altogether a real let down for me. |

Of them all though - I think Scarlett was the right winner. |

Highest viewers in the last 3 seasons, ITVs no 1 show this year, Itv2s no 1 show this year and heading to be somewhere between the 3rd - 5th most watched series since it began.
How have they got it so wrong

They need to make some changes, it's boring and too repetitive now.

From their point of view they haven't, no. They've aimed it at a young demographic. That doesn't make it a better show than it was, though.

People still watch out of loyalty ..its "the jungle"...run up to christmas etc .but it has got stale and a bit frayed around the edges.ant & dec seemed to be going through the motions.for the first time I struggled to stay with it this year to be honest.best thing about it was Martin Roberts and Kiosk Keith.

Go back to the days where they weren't allowed makeup or cigarettes or any luxuries. Make the trials harder so they don't get all the stars and are hungry. What I'd really love is for them to bring back the live feed, but I realise that's never going to happen.

It was def the most scripted year and im not talking about the bush telegraphi I mean stuff they organised, like the alien thing and the question from keith (freaky nope scripted), the tree hugging thing, the musical was all written for them, there was nearly something everyday that seemed they were told to do, I'm dissapointed by that but seems it worked
