I remember the decorations from links 2, 3 and 4
A few years ago I was given a similar bell from Christmases past that used to go on our little silver tree from the 70s - the bell still rings.

the tree was about 4 - 5 foot so smaller than this but similar. I loved putting it together as a teen.

I'm glad we didn't have the dimple baubles they scared me.

Im older so I remember way back in the late forties, fifties, when it was the tissue paper bells that opened out , sometimes it was angels , the xmas lights were big, in shapes of snowmen, santas, some even had water bubbles in them, I wonder how many remember them, we had the same old lights for years and I can remember the first time I saw a tree with all pink tiny lights, a white tree too, I thought it was the most beautiful thing Id ever seen, but usually people have the bigger multi coloured lights sort of cone shaped, paper chains made of tissue or crepe paper long before foil decorations, maybe not as fancy as nowadays but gave loads of smiles on our faces.

Whoever is putting these up on Ebay are very optimistic, judging by the prices they're asking for, not to mention the P&P
That is what I thought. Vintage? Nah Tat

Well, not yearning exactly. Thinking about being young and my mum decorating the house etc for Christmas and making everything magical for us.

These are on sale in Wilkinson's, look like a throwback to the 80s.
