I'm re-watching last years apprentice and wondered if any of them have made a success of themselves?

Also If I remember correctly Joseph won... anyone know how his business has done a year on?

Here is a summary of past winners, taken from the invitation to apply for the next series.

It will not take long next year to look up the winner for this series to see how they are getting on.

So based on that link, if winners' companies are making around £300,000 pre-tax profits (after deduction of salaries, including their own) a year, then based on a multiple of five (slightly arbitrary but not unreasonable, assuming profits are maintained) each winner has half of a £1.5 million company.

OK so I'm not an accountant and have ignored sector differences, growth prospects and assets which presumably will be significant for Joseph and Leah whereas Mark and Ricky will mainly need desks and phones. The point is it is a prize worth winning, and literally life-changing.

Generally once you have the van and the basics like the connectors etc which might stretch to a grand or so you fetch from the local plumbers merchant on demand so you never really need much stock on hand in theory, so very little stock sitting around on the shelf.

Yes obviously valuation depends on the industry and lots of other unknowns. New businesses can be valued at a lot even if they are making a loss for instance. But having a business making £300k profit this early means you've potentially got a lot of value.

I was not keen on Joseph I have to say but the business he is in is always likely to do well so Sugar took less of a chance.

Plus the fact that Joseph worshiped Sugar - and Sugar likes to be told how great he is.

Looks like Sofiane got his old job back.

I spotted him last weekend working as a shop assistant in the tech department of Harrods.
