It was like a less frenetic Adam Curtis doco but I felt as though it was mis-titled, only really addressing the supposed subject in the last third and even then not in the depth I hoped for. A lot of rehashed content from other programmes - There can't be many people surely that didn't know the Americans treated the test-site islanders like shit can there?

Again referencing Curtis here but whereas his films have a consistent and entirely appropriate voiceover I find Pilger's mangled vocal comes across like a nasal Alan Whicker and as he gets older it becomes harder and harder to listen to especially over a couple of hours+.

I stuck with it but was disappointed overall.

The part ive highlighted, there would be loads of people who dont know that !! The man or woman in the street for example, which is why i wish it went out at 8pm and was promoted in adverts as being a must see, just so more can know these kind of things. My mum for example wouldnt have know that, or my sisters, loads of people wouldnt know in general that those islanders were used as guinea pigs by the u.s military. Ask people at work or in the pub etc if they know about it, id say a good 80 percent or more wouldnt know about it
