I'm not a fan of Matt (but I think he's ok), but I can't see why he should sabotage his chances of winning by choosing someone as dreary as James Arthur to duet with.

She didn't though did she. You can always say 'what if' but the fact is Saara wanted Adam because she's always been a massive fan and didn't care about his popularity.
As I said, I don't agree with the duets full stop. However, no it wouldn't have been a farce had Saara been singing with Sia as she's obviously a fan of her music having already performed Chandelier twice and Alive as her sing off song in week 1.
No one is going to convince me Matt is a huge fan of Harry Styles and has always dreamed of this duet. It's simply a way to get him more votes.

Fair enough - you're probably right.
Personally, I'll vote for Saara if I prefer her performance on the night, even though I think Harry is cute.
To be fair, it wouldn't look too good if Saara got Sia as a duet partner and she decided to wear a wig that covers her eyes or even insisted to sing with her back turned towards the audience (that's how Sia frequently performs).

i was listening to capital, and they briefly mentioned this alongside all the other rumours of potential duets.

What are you all on about? At least Saara got to sing with her idol? Um, they tried to get Matt with Sam Smith (they would have blown the roof of) but it didn't work out.

These duets are shaping up to be really good! Harry Styles seems a much more interesting choice than James Arthur. As for Saara, she wanted to sing with Adam, if she wanted to be smart she should have expressed a desire to sing with Lady GaGa as some of us speculated, it was a real possibility.

Since Simon supposedly fell out with Harry over his record deal, I would take this with a pinch of salt, of course it might happen thought!
For a number of years it has been openly acknowledged that producers approach acts to enter, it doesnt make it a fix, they all have to be voted on by the public
Frankly I have not heard of the weekend, I have seen Adam Lambert with Queen and he is incredible, Harry Styles is nothing special, Matt would outsing him.

Saara's had an amazing run, but it's now finally time for her to be thrown under the bus to get the Matt/5am final 2 that has been scripted and predicted by virtually everyone since before the live shows even started. Saara will be on first with a crap song- maybe they will bring back Che's burger from last year?

Adam was just one of the people Saara said she would like to duet with. Lady GaGa was another one she said she'd love to sing with. She already made a guest appearance last week, I doubt she'd come back for the final. All these duets haven't been confirmed yet, they keep changing. I remember getting excited that Andrea was going to sing with Sam Smith in the final which Dan Wootton announced at the time, he ended up with Ella Henderson.

There are two ways of looking at this.
First of all, it is to be commended that Saara has chosen to sing with someone she truly admires.
On the other hand, this is a competition and I don't think she's been savvy enough to pick someone who is more popular with the public and would pull in votes. Adam just isn't a vote puller in the UK outside of a few niche, hardcore fans.
But then Saara hasn't done anything by the rule book this series and has found herself in the final, so who knows!?

Didn't Harry sign with Columbia? So he isn't with Syco, but at least he stayed with Sony. I think Liam and Niall disappointed him the most.
I think harry is an even worse choice for of duet partner for Matt than James was. However i agree he will get more votes. It's a tactical move, nothing else, as I would have never in a million years thought they'd pick Harry for Matt. It s just not a duet I'm particularly excited to see.
