Didn't they bring in Mark Wright from TOWIE some years ago?
Alison Hammond (who featured in the same series) first came to fame through Big Brother...so I really don't understand the ridiculous snobbery displayed by some towards reality TV stars. And to say "Strictly is over"...well, let's just say that that belief is more than a little over dramatic... |

Yes, in 2014 - and he was one of the finalists.

Strictly will only "be over" if you choose to never tune in again following the recruitment of Biggins - which is your perogative. I'm sure the BBC's flagship show will continue to be commissioned plus or minus you.

Boris Johnson. Hopefully he will drop one of his clangers and be sacked from the Foreign Office before the summer making him available for Strictly.

Darcy said on ITT this week that she'd like to see him on - not sure if it was tongue in cheek or not though
![]() ![]() I really thought Sara Cox would do it this year - maybe 2017 Nadine Dores did I'm a celeb and George Galloway did CBB and both were given a tough time by the media so its very very unlikely we'll be seeing Boris tripping the light fantastic any time soon. Shame.

My kids would die for Reggie Yates or Stacey Dooley.
Mel Giedroyc or Sue Perkins. Jeremy Paxman. Romesh Ranganathan. Dame Sarah Storey. |

Funnily enough the Beeb haven't wheeled him out for Strictly since he appears with monotonous regularity in other shows.

Evan Davies is the only one of the political commentators I can imagine persuadable. Andrew Neil would sooner flush his head down the toilet, I'd imagine. James O'Brien? |

Much as I'd love him to do it, there would be an outcry for him to do it as long as he is a sitting MP.

I wouldn't say that I would like her to be a contestant, but I have a strong suspicion Alexandra Burke will feature next year. I would really like Kelly Rowland to be a contestant, but I doubt she'd do it.

It will never happen but I'd love to see Richard Armitage doing Strictly
Rylan would be very very funny! Edit, and Prof Brian Cox would be fab. |

Males
Tcheky Karyo (The Missing star) Jenson Button (former F1 world champ) Reggie Yates (presenter and actor) Martin Kemp (singer and actor) Brian Cox (Scientist) Michael Portillo (former MP and This Week pundit) Dion Dublin (ex footballer and Homes Under The Hammer presenter) Females Ruth Langsford (TV presenter) Jessica Ennis-Hill (former world champion heptathlete) Alexandra Burke (singer) Sue Barker (presenter and former tennis champion) Alison King (ex Corrie star) Tilly Keeper (EastEnders star) Charlotte Ritchie (Call the Midwife star) I've tried to keep it as realistic and as varied as possible, though I'd be surprised if any of my list actually appear.

Would not be surprised to see one of Jermaine Jenas or Greg James appear on Strictly at some point.
The Beeb seem to highly rate both and both have been rumoured in the past and sounded up for doing it. Been a while actually since an ex-footballer has done Strictly. One I'd love to see appear would be Ian Wright - could imagine his Latin being very entertaining. |

Mel Giedroyc or Sue Perkins. Jeremy Paxman. Romesh Ranganathan. Dame Sarah Storey. Mel or Sue is another good shout as they could have more spare time next year. Other good shouts on this thread are Jess Ennis and Jermaine Jenas (or any other retired footballer) Also surely Dan Walker will get asked now he is on Breakfast? |
