She never fails to do just that.

Thornberry is no match for him. Why she chose to bang on about the Customs Union is anyone's guess.

He is very experienced.

David was elected Member of Parliament for Aylesbury in 1992 and has held a number of positions including Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 2003 to 2007 and Shadow Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs from 2007 to 2010.

David served as Minister of State at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) from May 2010 until July 2016.

If you don't understand why she is banging on about the CU then you should have a look at the implications of being outside the CU.

In particular in regards to the supply chain into the UK (Dover, Folketone and Norwich) and the ROI/NI border.

In addition, she's obviously banging on about staying the CU as there is a clear majority for this in the Common.

So good work Thornberry.. even though I usually can't stand her.

Pointless questions from Thornberry. The government have already agreed to Labour's motion, now she wants an answer today. I notice the Labour benches weren't particularly supportive of her.

She wants an answer because she knows there is a majority in the Commons for staying in the CU.

She doesn't think on her feet though - everything is one dimensional and scripted.

There's no need to today. It's about exposing the government'a lack of plan and putting down the rules as to what is considered the bare minimum information May needs to give under the notion that will be voted on later.

Taking her cue from Corbyn in that regard.

And boring everyone to death - she has not done her profile any good at all, which is the whole point of being put forward for these appearances.

In general yes, today there's bigger fish to fry.

"The honorable gentleman makes an important point"

This stock response began with Cameron and now others are following suit.

Sybil was OK, you aren't gonna get anything out of this government r/e Brexit as they haven't a clue anyway.
The negotiations will be fun -
EU, "hello, what do you want?"
UK looks round, shuffles papers "Oh, dunno, Mrs Duffy was out when we rang."

It did not begin with Cameron. There are established ways for M.P.s to address each other in the House of Commons.

I don't recall previous prime ministers prefacing almost every answer with the phrase.

It all depends on who is speaking and to whom.
