Re Matt, what does "this past century" mean? Pre 2000? That means not Adele then. If it mean since 2000, why use "past"?

I'd be very surprised if Saara is singing Waterloo, the Eurovision song is likely to be something much more recent.

Saara thinks a Eurovision "classic" song is appropriate for the final? Did she learn nothing from 6 chair challenge?
You think the contestants choose their own songs? Have you learnt nothing from the past decade?

I reckon she'll sing Euphoria.

It will probably one of the usual songs associated with "classic" Eurovision like Bucks Fizz...perhaps Saara can shimmy about by the judges desk and peel the layers off Sharon's plastic face.

Now that would be something.

Euphoria is a dance song. Will she do Loreen's Eurovision choreography, too?

She's done it before at a gig so obviously likes it and knows it. I also think it would suit her quite well.

Saara has done Rise Like a Pheonix many times before. They let her chose Lambert so they probably let her choose that as well. It will be one of her winning moments.

"Saara will perform a "Eurovision Classic" song which her European fans have wanted her to perform throughout the live shows"

I haven't seen anyone request she do a Eurovision song...and definitely not in the final

What a complete waste of a contestant in the final to just sabotage them. May as well have just booted her weeks ago. This is why ratings have plummeted- they are too obsessed with controlling the vote every week instead of making a decent show.

Maybe we should tweet Saara and let her know a Eurovision classic will not go down well here in the UK. Whatever Eurovision song she chooses it puts her at a massive disadvantage in my opinion.

Another song choice for Matt could be Bleeding Love - Leona

I don't think that's a good idea or will make any difference. The producers chose the songs, not the contestants. There is no way they are going to change it over a few fan tweets.

I agree that it may well put her at a disadvantage though, no matter how good the eurovison song is.

Do you know Rise Like a Phoenix? It's basically a coronation as XF winner for her.

Actually, Saara's song is likely to be her own song, No Fear. A lot of people have asked her to perform it- she has even said as much numerous times. She also performed it at her homecoming gig.

She performed her own song at the Voice final as well, which is probably why she lost.

But it is not a "Eurovision classic". It's never even been performed at Eurovision.

She's also performed Rise Like a Phoenix many times.

If, if, if, it's this song, it is totally a 'winner's song', and fits closer to songs like 'A Moment Like This', probably than the actual winner's song this year! I love the song, and if they get the staging right, could definitely be a big moment for her.

"Eurovision classic" might just be an attempt at bigging her up from producers who know little/nothing about Eurovision. They can't really say anything else without giving the game away.

That would be an even bigger mistake. No Fear is a decent song but I don't see it ever being a hit here in the UK and 90% of her voting fans will have never heard it before.

I have to agree. I think I will give it a miss, and just tune in for the result.

I don't wish to cast aspersions but did anyone else actually see Rylan saying this (presumably on This Morning). Just seems like an usually large amount of information for him to reveal.

Saara most likely proves me wrong again, but still I don't think good idea to sing Eurovision classic (if something like that even exist.) First I scared she meant No Fear (only her song which I haven't vote.) If she sing Who wants.../Show must go on with Adam isn't Rise like a Phoenix too similar?

Matt's song choice seems wiser and 5am should get boost from duet partner if it is who said to be. Interesting to see who is Matt's duet partner after all.

Interesting weekend ahead!
