I haven't met any aggressive brexiters, the most I can get out of those that I know that voted out is 'out means out' and 'brexit means brexit'. More gormless than aggressive!
Not as gormless as remainers needing to weep and wail like toddlers needing bitty though .
In it's basic form , out means out indeed , and the sooner the better .

Is it a few..? It's very difficult to quantify just how many of either group is involved in this or that behaviour.

What is indisputable is that the country is very badly divided on this issue. There is bad feeling, especially about the lies that the Leave campaign spread in order to win their vote, and the increase in racist activity since.

I said at the time of the campaign that not all Leave voters are racists, but it's a pretty safe bet that all racists are leave voters. The outcome of the referendum has encouraged them and is acting as a catalyst for the rise of extremist right wing groups who are becoming increasingly aggressive in the promotion of their agenda.

When all this is over and Britain is out of the EU, both leave and remain voters are going to have to live in the same country and elect a government that will represent ALL the people, not just those of whichever group they supported at the Referendum.

The country is divided and what worries me is that, amongst all the bickering and arguing about how Brexit will be achieved, nobody seems to be doing anything at all about reuniting it.
Personally couldn't give a toss about 52% of it.

People wanting out Europe were the vocal minority who turned into the voting majority, as remainers were too apathetic.

It's been fascinating and yet very troublesome for me just how many people are incapable of accepting other opinions or viewpoints.
Instead of attempts to understand or communicate, an alternative opinion or result is seen as wrong, rigged, fixed, manipulated ect and the people who think differently must be dumb, naive, stupid, uneducated, misled, hateful....
It surely can't be that people have different ideals and motivations, which is what makes the world go round. Looking after number one only seems to be acceptable when it applies to ourself, to hell with anyone else doing it.

I thought the vote to leave the EU had real potential, but the reaction to it has made me think 'erm okay, the future's fooked and people's attitudes towards eachother absolutely suck'.
Now I'm resigned to the fact that whatever happens happens and my sympathy for anyone who demands respect but gives none back has all but dried up. No matter what, someone's going to win and someone's going to lose, that's how life works. (indifferent shrug)

Gina Miller was not trying to clarify the British constitution she cares not one jot about it. The woman thinks she is entitled to question the result of the most democratic vote we have ever had in this country, backed by others of course.

It has been divided for years. People have only just realised. As long as the status quo held sway, the growing undercurrent of discontent on so many levels was easily ignored.

But the fact that over half of the electorate voted against the status quo, despite the massive barrage of establishment propaganda day after day leading up to the referendum, reminds us just how Eurosceptic this country is. I suspect the the number voting Brexit would have been much higher had many voters not been frightened into voting remain by the chorus of gloom and doom from the remain camp.
Absolutely

Suspect leave voters would be lower if people didn't get influenced by the media, and over reporting of the negative qualities of the EU.

Exactly, who can prove how she voted. It's an establishment stitch up and she is but a pawn.

They have no intention of letting us leave!

Of course your not....you just sided with them, that is all.
And you sided with Tony Blair.

And if anyone wants to see some aggressive remainers, just head over to the guardian comments

The EU seem to be the most aggressive.

Do they want us in or out?

52% were angry as ****.
48% were happy with the status quo

Millions didn't give enough of a toss to even vote.

All I can say in the run up to the vote was my Facebook feed was littered with vote leavers posting links to fake (spoof) news sites with ludicrous immigration stories which they were believing to be totally true. They had been whipped up into such a fervour that anything official was viewed as total lies and propaganda yet the opposite was true of articles obviously intended as a joke.

I don't think they really care, they just want it to be quick and painful to set an example to anyone else thinking about jumping ship.

The remaining 10% of us agree with your observation.

What exactly was the issue with a democratically elected parliament making the decision to trigger brexit? I thought brexiters wanted Britain to make its own decisions.

This is nearly as poor a comparison as saying everyone who drives a German car is a bad driver.
There's been a constant stream of this for the last 6 months but apparently that doesn't count.

What I hate is being told I am thick and had no idea what I was doing because I voted to leave. Also the assumption that I was influenced to vote leave by the media. I am intelligent enough to make up my own mind without being told how to vote by a paper.

I reckon the Remain camp bringing out Tony Blair lost them a lot of undecided voters as well.

The rich and the powerful are determined that we shall not leave the EU. There are too many snouts in the trough.

The people who voted brexit then were shocked at the results are the ones who are thick. Saying stuff like they didn't think it would pass was frankly mind boggling. Anyone who voted brexit based on the feeling that immigration would be halted are also in that bracket.

However anyone who voted Brexit based on a genuine desire to exit the EU were perfectly legitimate and people who refer to them as thick are morons.

Triggering A50.
Some people would finally have to accept that it is happening.
I think things might calm down once the end of March comes and Article 50 is triggered. Remainers will see then that the process of leaving the EU is starting to happen. Right now it might come across to Remainers as the government being uncertain on this. But yeah, I think the end of March will show Remainers, or the ones who are kicking up a fuss, that this is starting to happen.

Sigh. Then you lost your bet. My extended family includes a lovely bunch of sectarian and racist Remain voters. Things they said, by phone and the likes of facebook, have finally led to a parting on the ways because I object to them describing members of my closest family in such a disgusting way.
The fact that we won't have to suffer their racist disdain at things like family weddings in future is a big relief to me.

It would help to stop the false divisive racist propaganda you're indulging in to chuck insults at people who disagree with you. Making it clear there's unnecessary derogatory fantasy and aggression from both sides.

Nah. This isn't as much about it starting to happen, as what it's going to look like. We're going to have a couple of years of not knowing enough about that, with regular stories and events to keep things boiling, then we're going to have an agreement that won't satisfy a lot of people, then we're going to have an election that's going to whip all that up in some new ways. My guess would be we'll have to get used to these divisions, because they're going to be a big deal for a long, long time.

You`re falling into the same trap as Fried Kickin, it`s called generalising. I never said everyone who voted leave was aggressive and nasty, I said I suspect more are then would have been the case had the situation been reversed.
The ‘trap’ is generalising in the first place. It’s a pretty poor form attempt to invalidate one side of an argument (and I’m saying that as a remain voter).

I can't see triggering article 50 having a calming effect, only thing will calm it down is when we know what is going to happen, much of the population is plain and simple scared because they have no idea what the landscape will look like after brexit. I have to admit I'm more nervous now than when I voted because listening to remainers put the country down tell me we can't do well without hard working immigrant labour, That we are lazy stupid and unable to make our country work. It's started to affect my mood as i am now wondering is my family only Brits who are working hard and willing to do those jobs immigrants are apparently uniquely willing to do.

Although if that isn't racist what is ? Only Eastern Europeans are able to work incoffee shops and do cleaning jobs ? That sounds racist to me
