The international trailer that's more a straightforward superhero one.

I personally like the more high school focused one. Some interesting choices in regards to changes and influences especially in regard to Peter's best friend.

Even though they seem to be hitting us over the head that this is very much apart of the MCU it looks good.

I'm guessing that that is to build the hype for the mainstream audience.

I'm kinda on the line about it looking like Tony appears a lot in the trailer. While I know he's going to be a sort of mentor to Peter, I hope they don't have too much of him in the movie and take away the spotlight from Spidey. However, I am looking forward to their scenes together. Should be a good laugh.

Don't worry if you're not keen. There'll be another one along soon.

Nah, it will be fairly minimal, but he's Marvel's MVP, so it makes sense he would feature heavily in the trailer.

Overall, it looks very good, but other than the new cast, it probably doesn't really differentiate itself all that much from the previous Spidey movies.

That bank robbery bit with the Avengers masks did make me lol.

Hopefully this is a good film because I don't think I can take anymore Spidey reboots this side of 2040!

It looks good to me, looks like they've toned things down a bit so it doesn't feel like a CGI don't really care what happens fest.

Seems more like the 70s tv series.

Spiderman is getting too many reboots.. the original was good enough.

Meh for me. I think this finally might be the Superhero movie from Marvel that people pan and finally say "enough !" the straw that broke the camels back if you will. There is only so much Superhero stuff people can take.. make it a reality, 1 new movie every year or 2.

The bubble has to burst sooner or later. Marvel are right to ride that crest of a wave, but they can't rely on going to the same well forever.

I haven't viewed the trailer, as i prefer to see the film without having seen all the good bits beforehand. How apt it is titled 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'. I wonder if that's an intentional reference that he's coming home to Marvel?

After Sony messed up. Not that i've seen the Andrew Garfield films, bit pointless now i guess.

There's way too much crossover now. Every movie feels like an Avengers, there is no character personality.

People have been saying that since the first Gurdians I doubt this will be the bubble buster

I guess they have to use the popular Avenger (Tony Stark) to ensure success.

I remember people going on about "superhero fatigue" as far back as Raimi's second Spider-Man movie.

I love the first two Maguire/Rami films. These reboots do seem unnecessary. The last two rebooted ones were middling at best.

Oh great......another one. 3 different versions of Spider-Man in 15 years. They are just rehashing movies over and over again, it's boring.

How many more times to we need to see Peter Parker become Spider-Man and a see the shock on his friends face when they find out who he really is ?

Also, ANOTHER Marvel film ? enough is enough.

Well we won't see him become Spider-Man or Ben death in this film as Peter already is Spider-Man as seen in Civil War

I understand some people getting bored of comic book films but it does seem a strange statement when you get variety of such Marvel films such as Guardians Of The Galaxy, Ant Man and Doctor Strange

We have had Superhero fatigue statements for the past 5 years plus but we have yet to see it happen!

I don't like all the Marvel films as Age Of Ultron was poor and Iron Man 3 was a totally disaster but that's the same with any genre as you get terrible and great films. So to get rid of a genre is to kill off the possibility of getting any of those future great films because of one poor film!

The previous Spider-Man films were all made with Sony and this made as a joint production with Marvel because the previous 3 Spider-Man films have been such disasters!

By the way I wasn't fussed on the American trailer but I loved the International trailer which I think is mainly down to more Keaton as Vulture and it felt that it flowed right!

'Homecoming' is not a reboot. It follows on from the events of Captain America III where we were first introduced to this version of Spider-Man.
The film focuses on an already established character from a previous film, it will have no origin plot taking up Act 1 (which a reboot always does), but instead will go straight into the main story's plot.
'The Amazing Spider-Man' (2012) was a reboot, 'Homecoming' is not.

There's certainly still a huge audience for them, but what of creative fatigue? I agree Marvel's offshoots bring more variety visually, but the mainstay of Avengers/Iron Man etc are now looking somewhat generic content-wise.
