There's never been a pro called Sophie so you're probably thinking of either Anya Garnis who partnered Patrick Robinson (you know the older guy of Casualty who was rather good and reached the semis) or Iveta Lukashuta who stepped in when Ailona got injured and covered for Ola (both whom repaid her by savaging her chereography) and then partnered Mark Bention and Thom Evans before leaving the program - pushed or jumped? What's she doing these days I wonder because I rather liked her but then I rather liked Anya too - so same question.

I think if there is favouritism towards Kevin it's because he's recognisable, family friendly and capable of delivering a routinue to whatever tall order the producers want the pros to fortill this week - rap samba you say? no problem

I didn't realise James was being an arse backstage too - any solid evidence on that?. He never did know when to shut his trap and it might have better served his interests to do so - hubbie never forgave him for what he said about the Sarge - but I do remember Brian Fortuna said him and Ola had actually been quite welcoming when he first started on the show along with Brendan who is someone else who you might necessarily think that of.
That was Brian's initial impression yes, but I have it on very good authority that he changed his mind

Hi Maggie! I miss our old thread I've lost a bit of interest this year now. Laura was so stuffed by TPTB and the social media nonsense from her "friends" and it made me very cross.

Claudia for the win anyway!
Hi Lou . Nice to see you here. I'd rather Claudia won over Louise for sure but I favour the remaining two male celebs myself. I lost interest after Ed departed and seeing Rob being hung out to dry.

Good morning I think Lou should start another thread, so we can all hang out.
Everybody I support seems to get eliminated, so not openly supporting anyone,
but I am firmly on the 'Anyone but ...... for the win' battle bus. Seems like a losing battle. For me out of all four partners, I would have been ok with Kellie winning.
If I had to place them, it would be
1) Kellie
2) Susanna
3) Frankie
4) Louise
I agree with this list aside from I'd swap Frankie and Susanna because there are Frankie dances I watch still but not Susanna ones ... I recall what people's objections were towards Kellie but she was strong and masters some techniques. Even her rumba was pretty good, which given her muscularity says something!

Lou can start a reflection thread post-series Always stimulates chat!

I've never heard of anyone choosing an AT as an easy option.
Nor have I!

Doing a highly complex dance about which you know absolutely nothing (that's ALL the pros btw) to totally unsuitable music is not a good move.

And I do wish people would stop talking about kicks and flicks in AT - we DO NOT DO THEM. It's all part of the sweaty gauchos mythology - which is pants.

Ore is busy - not only for the Olympics and the BBC, but he does live cinema broadcasts of theatre and ballet - with Darcy in a couple of cases.

I like Ore, but don't think he is good enough to win.

Unlikely to happen as the BBC guard them religiously. Apparently, around three people only know the figures.

It's partially, I believe, because it may put celebs off appearing what with egos, reps etc.
There is no pluses in releasing the figures

I actually quite liked Kellie and she deserved her final place - although perhaps Helen deserved it more (I don't think Katie quite did but then it was lovely to see Anton finally make an SCD final after twelve years and interesting to see what an Anton choreographed showdance looked like - it was more interesting than anyone else's that year that's for sure - not better but more interesting although I might have liked Kelllie's more if it hadn't been followed by YET another flipping Charleston after it - I mean yes your Charleston was great but Christ on a bike you need to show some variation in what you can do) - the over-marking of her in the final got on my nerves but that's not her fault.
