Anyone having issues with Amazon's one day delivery service?
Hi,
I took yesterday off work because on Sunday I'd ordered 6 christmas presents from Amazon using Amazon Prime. All 6 were guaranteed delivery by the end of Tuesday (yesterday) None arrived. Tracking indicated they were in a depot of Royal Mail awaiting delivery, so I looked on Royal Mail's website and the tracking number quoted by Amazon did not exist. Called Amazon today and they said this was not their problem but Royal Mail's. So I just went to my local post office to ask and they say it's not their problem but Amazon's. So basically I'm shafted and my presents are god knows where. Do I have any rights here? And has anyone ever experienced something similar? |

Amazon use several couriers, not all Royal Mail. If you log into Amazon and go to the order Tracking page it should tell you which delivery service it is using. If it's not Royal Mail then it's quite possible they won't recognise the tracking number.
Whatever Amazon say it is ultimately their problem. Whatever delivery method they are using only they can sort it out as the contract is between Amazon and the courier not between you and the courier. So get back onto Amazon and politely but firmly suggest they get their finger out and get it sorted. Even more so if they have taken payment for the items. |

No, never had a problem and I order quite a bit. Hope you didn't pay extra for delivery.

Why stay in when you can use Amazon Locker?

Unfortunately yes I live miles away from an Amazon locker.
Have just received this email from Amazon. Hello, We intended to deliver your order on Tuesday, 6 December 2016. We’re sorry to tell you that there may be a delay in delivering your order. Please allow an additional day or two for the parcel to arrive. We pride ourselves on meeting our promises and apologise for letting you down this time. Our priority is to get your parcel to you as soon as possible. To amend your order or view your tracking details at any time, please visit ‘Your Orders’ in Your Account We hope to see you soon. Regards, I am back at work tomorrow working 12 hour shifts until next Monday so I wont be in. I've asked my neighbours and they are all out tomorrow and Friday also. My parcels all must be signed for so I now wont be able to do that. I wont ever be using the 'guaranteed' next day delivery again with Amazon as the guarantee is worthless and dependent on others |

Did you get a dispatch email? I only get the type email pasted when they don't have the stuff in stock and haven't yet dispatched the item.

This did happen to me recently but in fairness to Amazon this is rare. Also the item wasn't urgent and I didn't take a day off to receive it. However that's not really the point, I've signed up to Prime so I should really get my items next day as promised. I was going to have a moan to them about it but, as mentioned, Amazon are rarely late with my deliveries so I won't bother.
Although I may rethink that when it's time to pay up again!

I have no issues. I order, they don't deliver, I complain, I get an extra month added to my account. Up to 5 now!
