I remember seeing a few posters who said they'll definitely be leaving the UK if we voted leave.

So has anyone here actually left yet? Or even made plans to move abroad?

This is a silly thread because we haven't even left the EU yet, and may never actually leave. Even MP's in the debate today are framing their points 'if we leave...' nothing is certain yet.

Right up until they catch up with you and say 'aha dual nationality, that makes you half foreign, which half do you want deported'

I gather you're still here then, despite your assertions to the contrary? Is that why it's a 'silly thread'?

Nothing is certain, but have you made plans for if we do leave?

Don't believe everything people say.
Paul O'Grady is still here, and he was going after the last Election if the Tories got in.

Yes but we are going to so it is always best to make plans if you are leaving the country.

I'll leave if it's a hard brexit.

But I'm growing increasingly optimistic that we'll end up with a soft brexit which retains almost all the benefits of our full membership of the EU, while rather ludicrously only really reducing our influence over EU business.

Those terms are meaningless - Soft Brexit, Hard Brexit, Lite Brexit it is bollocks.

We will be leaving the EU what deals we do after is neither here nor there. Once the British government gives notification to the EU of A50 then negotiations start we will immediately be on our own.

The government cannot confirm anything because quite frankly that's what negotiating means. It isn't up to our Government it is called negotiations.

My understanding is we voted Leave which means we leave the Single Market and FOM goes with it we can access it of course at a price. I voted to end FOM and gain sovereignty.

Then we can negotiate anything with anyone there isn't only 27 countries in Europe nay the World.

Even Michel Barnier is being more sensible than the hard line Remainers.

Soft Brexit = No Brexit. Hence, it will be hard Brexit. I'd start planning if I was you.

Now that you've said that, I'm praying for a batard of a hard Brexit but I bet you don't leave.

When the government loses its supreme court case, and it will lose, hard brexit will be mathematically impossible. MP's will get the final say and it's already clear there are more than enough Tories willing to side with Labour and Lib Dems to prevent economic disaster and the breakup of the UK.

Just because we ask for a soft Brexit, doesn't mean the EU will offer it. You can't blame the government because they did what you wanted. So if that is the case what will you do?
