Swimming
Play table tennis Cinema (sometimes) Go for a drive or day out somewhere Weekends away Play video games Watch Youtube Table quizzes Listen to music Pokemon Go Visiting (maybe) Walking Gardening Reading University societies/social events Shopping Doing college work (especially when I have a deadline or exams) I try to keep away from the TV as much as I can unless there is a specific programme I want to see. If I'm at home at the weekend I'll have the TV on but on a news or music channel so I'm not distracted by it. |

I am retired so in theory I should have lots of free time
However, I never have time to do anything - where does it all go |

Walking, reading, sudoku, watching movies or tv series. Not very exciting I'm afraid.

That's the trouble with retirement. You never get a day off! |

During the week I don't do much. I lift weights 4 nights per week, read, watch tv.
At weekends I do a bit of cardio, shopping and generally just lay about the house. Nothing major. |

Astronomy - visual observing and astrophotography (obviously only when it's dark, and the sky is clear)
Photography - terrestrial (landscape/sports/wildlife, mostly) Play Guitar Military scale modelling Drawing/Sketching Collect optical equipment Internet (mostly in connection with other hobbies, but do visit some general forums such as DS) Also help to run my local Astronomical Society, and do various bits and bobs connected with that - including a fair bit of 'outreach', mostly with schools and youth groups. I'm currently putting together a slideshow and talk, about iconic and cutting edge astro/space images. I gave up working for a living - by choice - about 10 yrs ago (a sort of VERY early retirement) - just so that I could spend more time on things I actually wanted to do, and it's got to the point where an extra few more hours in a day wouldn't go amiss. Cycle, walk the dog, watch TV, drink with mates, play pool.
Anything that is low cost now. Used to go to a lot of concerts and gigs b4 me & the ex split, now the money goes simply on bills. |
