I downloaded this software version via the download stream shortly after it became available.

I've since run into intermittent problems waking my DRX890 box up... i.e. The box goes into standby due to inactivity such as going to bed etc but when I try to wake the box up again by pressing the Sky button on the remote the box is unresponsive, there is no led activity on the front of the box other than the red led indicating it's in "sleep" mode. (I'm not sure what a red led means because I've never had this issue before, if that makes sense?)

Power cycling the box does eventually get the box up and running again after it's gone through its routines... but then so does randomly pressing buttons on the remote whether or not the button presses appear to be registered by the box.

FYI, I'm not one of those people who tries to hurry digital technology just because 'it should work', I'm talking 5 - 10 minutes before the box may or may not respond to the remote before i'll unplug the box.

That said, past history with Sky strongly suggests this may be a software bug not least because when the box is up and running everything is flawless (until the next time)... my question is, is anyone else suffering the same that might confirm this as a bug?

I have seen others report this on the Sky forum, I think the advice was to turn eco mode off

Thanks Marti, I'll check my settings and turn off eco mode if it's enabled (if it is enabled, it wasn't done by me)... I can't check right now but i'll post back when I get a chance.

Eco mode is enabled by default. The box will go into deep standby mode (basically off) overnight and wake itself up in the morning. I believe there may have been a change to the length Eco mode is active for, which might explain why you're seeing it on your box.

Apologies for the long delay in replying, I did check my settings as I had to run out the door after my last post and eco mode was set to "Active", this was the setting that I believe my box was previously set too.

Suffice to say that apart from one instance of the above shortly after my last post, I've not seen this behaviour again.

Whether or not Sky changed something behind the scenes I have no idea but I'm not ruling it out... that said, it does appear that whatever was the cause it's now resolved.
