Ah, the old, "let's shoehorn in the latest buzzword because people do things I don't agree with".
'Snowflake' - jeez, come up with something a little more original why don't you.
I imagine you're an old fart so your spirit of Xmas has been well and truly lost for some time now, but for little kids, keeping that magic going for as long as possible is a joyous thing.
So what if it starts sooner than <insert date that you have arbitrarily decided is the start date for Xmas>, for most people, the excitement and genuine joy of Xmas only lasts a few years so let's embrace it while we can.
